The cavern was filled with glowing ore, and inverted, triangular stalactites hung from its ceiling.
The faint sound of water dripped from above, making soft plinking noises.
At this moment, a figure sat cross-legged in silence beneath a massive stalagmite, surrounded by a forest of stalactites.
The figure was clad in a suit of black and gold armor.
The armor was covered in cracks.
Disheveled strands of hair obscured most of his face, revealing only paper-pale cheeks, completely drained of color. A trace of dried blood stained the corner of his mouth.
He had clearly suffered extremely severe injuries.
His eyes were shut tight.
A dense concentration of Ethereal Wanderer gathered around him, continuously pouring into his body.
Suddenly, his eyes snapped open.
BLECH! He opened his mouth and spat out a mouthful of dark, clotted blood.
