The voyage to World's End wasn't about to stop just because of the mad ramblings of an old fanatic.
Perhaps it was a matter worth noting. A ship had been trapped in a loop for over a decade. Someone had noticed the strange phenomenon before, but for some unknown reason, no one had ever followed up—until the *New Marlin* discovered it today.
But that was as far as it went. Who knew why that poor Priest-in-Training had shouted that it was all a lie? He had likely gone mad after learning the truth. The other Church members, wanting to appear more rational, had even forgiven the old Priest's blasphemy. Their eyes filled with pity, as if they were looking at a mental patient.
The *New Marlin* continued to extend its goodwill. Given that the Holy Temple Spaceship had been without resupply for so long, the captain held a small reception, letting these poor, lucky zealots finally eat something decent.
