Rorschach and Humboldt were both very busy men and hadn't had a moment of leisure to relax in a long time. Right now, however, they could catch their breath for a moment, shifting their focus from the shared destiny of all intelligent life to a single pot of cheese fondue.
"This mushroom's ready. Go ahead and try it."
"Oh, thank you."
"It's gotten a little dry. Excuse me, I'm going to add a bit of wine."
The four of them were eating, and with Libus being the only lady present, the three men were all perfect gentlemen, taking special care of her. In truth, the other three had little need for food. They merely chewed on something occasionally for the taste, spending most of their time drinking, discussing matters, and managing the fondue pot. Libus became the only one they were truly serving.
