Four hours after the banquet ended, in the early morning according to Bayern time, the Kepler received a message from the ground.
The Elder Council sent a letter of congratulations for their successful docking and assembly, as well as... a sound scolding.
"You lot! Is there not enough good food and drink back on the ground? Did you have to dip into your supplies to enjoy yourselves up in the sky? Do you have any idea how much money that costs? A single cask of wine you opened up there costs enough to buy out an entire winery; the ham you ate was worth a whole herd of pigs!
"If you hold another unapproved event like this, you can all wash your necks and wait for the gallows when you get back!
"Since your progress is ahead of schedule, get to work immediately. The ground will dispatch an additional supply ship with replacement parts and replenish the resources you consumed. The wine, fruit, and desserts in the next supply run have been canceled. You can eat canned food!
