Aurora Sinclair suddenly threw her hands out in front of her, aiming at the large truck ahead.
The out-of-control truck, just as it was about to hit their car, seemed to strike an invisible barrier. Its entire front end veered off in another direction, scraping past their vehicle before slamming into a nearby bridge pier.
The tremendous crash was terrifying to hear.
Having narrowly escaped disaster, Beta Morgan's face was deathly pale, and his heart was pounding wildly.
"I'm going to check it out."
With that, Aurora Sinclair got out of the car and walked back toward the crash.
But surprisingly, there was no driver in the truck. A gunshot suddenly rang out, and a bullet shot straight toward Aurora Sinclair.
A moment later, however, an unfamiliar male voice cried out in pain.
