「The next morning.」
Someone knocked on Wallace Lawson's door.
"Who's there? So sleepy..." Wallace Lawson, still wearing last night's clothes, groggily opened the door.
He saw Alvin Morgan with his backpack on, who pushed up his glasses and reminded him, "It's Monday. We have to work."
Wallace Lawson's eyes shot open, his sleepiness vanishing in an instant. "Oh, crap! Ah..."
He scrambled back inside to change, a whirlwind of chaotic motion.
Five minutes later, the three of them hurried downstairs.
They finally caught their breath after squeezing onto a bus heading for the subway station.
They lived in a rather remote area where the rent was cheap, and most of the residents were office workers.
"Whew... Mark, are we going to have to run like this every day?" Wallace Lawson asked, panting.
"We woke up late today. Tomorrow, we'll meet downstairs at 7:00."
