After Stephen Lowell woke up, Aurora Sinclair and Alvin Morgan prepared to return to the capital.
The Spider Woman was implicated in several major cases and was now under heavy guard by the Martial Affairs Bureau.
Through Alvin Morgan's connections, Aurora Sinclair got to see her again.
She seemed to have aged considerably, and only half of her silver hair had returned.
She seemed to despise Aurora Sinclair, her gaze as if laced with poison.
Alvin Morgan's brow furrowed, and he asked directly, "Who's pulling the strings?"
The Spider Woman didn't answer, instead looking at Aurora Sinclair. "So he's your little lover?"
An agent from the Martial Affairs Bureau standing beside her slammed the table and shouted sternly, "You were told to confess, not to spout nonsense!"
The Spider Woman just smiled and asked the agent for a cigarette.
Alvin Morgan continued to question her. "Who was the man in Maple Leaf Valley impersonating you?"
