That single attack appeared to have drained it of all life, leaving only a final shred of power.
Fear was now visible in Scarn's crimson eyes.
It looked at Fang Zhen.
Though Fang Zhen's physical form was far smaller than Scarn's, he was clearly the one in control.
It was Fang Zhen hunting Scarn, not the other way around.
Scarn let out a piercing shriek, but it wasn't an attack. It was a cry of alarm, a miserable scream.
It struggled, trying to flee into the Light Gate, desperate to escape the battlefield and get away from this Living Yama.
But Fang Zhen was enraged. How could he possibly let this thing escape?
He spurred his flying lotus, darting forward at high speed.
