Skirmishes, both large and small, were constantly breaking out on the streets and in the alleys of Wencheng. The conflict between humans and Demons had become an utterly commonplace affair.
The common folk had grown numb to it all. 'What kind of world is this? It's just too bizarre.'
However, the greatest battle in Wencheng was one that the world could not see.
The outer perimeter of the Demon Prison had almost completely collapsed. The ancient prison was, in the end, utterly destroyed.
But in the prison's deepest recesses, an isolated space remained. From within, a contemptuous and domineering voice rang out.
"Six-eyed Golden Lion, I am the Snake King, and I'm asking you: do you submit?"
Inside this space, a terrifying, scale-covered snake tail was wrapped around a thirty-foot-tall fiend, suspending it in mid-air. A closer look revealed the fiend to be none other than the Six-eyed Golden Lion.
