The Peng King turned back to the Bronze Ancient King, a hint of resignation in his voice. "Are you not going to speak either? This matter concerns the Spirit of Sun. The other Ancient Kings and the Emperor will not simply let this rest."
"We are only asking on their behalf. You must understand our difficult position."
"I do not know," the Bronze Ancient King said candidly.
"You don't know?" It was impossible to tell if the Peng King's astonishment was genuine or feigned.
"I don't know, and that's the truth. Why would I lie to you?" the Bronze Ancient King said, shaking his head.
The Peng King hesitated before turning to the impassive Qin Yun.
