The Holy Race had two reasons for bidding on these two bloodline treasures. First, they wanted the items for themselves to make hunting the remnants of the Dou Race more convenient. Second, they didn't want anyone else to get them, to prevent other races from joining the competition and snatching away the spoils of victory.
In fact, they were more concerned with the latter; they would rather not obtain the bloodline treasures themselves than let anyone else have them.
