It was safer to finish the process before taking action. This would ensure that everything Mage said was true.

Mage's entire body was relaxed. He lay on the ground and allowed the water ball to complete its parasitization, offering no resistance even when it reached his brain.
He was arguably the most cooperative of the few Moon Gods Su Ze had parasitized, and the process was the smoothest.
The parasitization was completed without a hitch.
