They chose a Public Star Realm ruled by a Dominator Race because such realms were renowned, highly credible, and relatively secure.
Although the Bloodline Divine Artifact was valuable, it was merely a device for tracking the remnants of the Dou Race. It wasn't the only one of its kind, so it wasn't valuable enough to tempt a Dominator Race into stealing it and risking the reputation of their Public Star Realm.
Of course, they couldn't completely entrust their safety to others. Su Ze naturally had to prepare a means of escape as well.
'Our journey happens to take us to the Spirit Race's Public Star Realm anyway. We can auction the Bloodline Divine Artifact there. We can discuss the specific details and iron out the plan along the way.'
Of the two Tier 9 Bloodline Divine Artifacts, the Metalization Belt was a material that could upgrade his skills. Therefore, Su Ze didn't intend to auction it; he planned to only sell the Dimension Ring.
