What did all this mean?
First, "the body as the eye" referred to a special ability unique to the True Body Realm.
The Eye of Truth.
This ability allowed one to distinguish truth from falsehood at a glance. It was somewhat similar to the Eyes of Golden Flame, but far more powerful, even surpassing them.
The Eye of Truth could see not just objects and Demon Fiends, but the entire world!
With the Eye of Truth, Gu Zheng had finally leaped out of the "water" and onto the "shore."
And the Eye of Truth wasn't limited to one's actual eyes. Hands, feet, skin—even a single strand of hair—could act as an "eye."
His entire body was one.
The second part, "to see through illusion," was much easier to understand.
It meant seeing through the void, being unaffected by Illusions, and, most importantly, being able to see the Reflected World!
The Great Zhou World and the Demon Realm both had their own Reflected Worlds.
The areas where these two reflections overlapped formed the Shadow Realm.
