"Searching for a relative?"
Qing Yueqiu murmured, her brow furrowing slightly as a trace of surprise flickered in her eyes.
She looked up at Lin Qianyan, her gaze filled with a mix of confusion and scrutiny.
'The Saintess of the Jade Pool Sacred Land... is actually an old friend of Master's? A relative? Why has Master never mentioned her?'
Lin Qianyan let out a soft sigh, her gaze distant as if she were seeing a faraway figure through Qing Yueqiu.
"There's a reason your Master never told you about me," she said.
Her voice was gentle, yet it carried an unconcealable melancholy. "Before we met yesterday, he thought... I was no longer alive."
She paused, a complex look in her eyes, as if she had a thousand things to say but didn't know where to begin.
After a moment, she finally spoke again, her voice so low it was almost a whisper to herself. "Yesterday was the first time your Master and I... had seen each other in a hundred years."
