At 6:20 PM, Yan Feifan, Dr. Qiu Ge, and Song Yi and Yu Chuanbai, who had arrived early, were waiting for the city's mayor, who arrived with a small, understated entourage.
After a brief exchange of pleasantries, Yan Feifan began the high-frequency hypnosis test on Mr. Sun without much explanation.
The process went quite smoothly for Yan Feifan. It took him nearly six minutes to detect the high frequency that triggered a strong reaction in the caudal end of Mr. Sun's brainstem.
20261.52 Hertz!
According to past experimental data, there was only a one-in-three chance of success for someone of Mr. Sun's age.
This time, luck was on Yan Feifan's side.
Feeling very drowsy, Mr. Sun removed the brainwave monitoring headset, got off the examination bed, and wiped his face with a cool, wet towelette to wake himself up.
