On Sunday, the first day of the National Day holiday, Yan Feifan rested at home all morning.
Around ten in the morning, Yan Feifan received the high-definition MRI scans from Yu Beihua. They were of the two patients in deep comas and had been taken at Baining Hospital.
Looking at the scans of the two patients' brainstems, Yan Feifan immediately spotted a difference from their previous MRI images.
The scans of these two patients showed tiny, bright spots, some sparse and others dense.
'Minute specks of clotted blood?'
'Or were they calcified spots formed from necrotic brain tissue?'
Yan Feifan analyzed the images and concluded they were most likely calcified spots.
This was because the brain has the ability to dissolve such tiny blood clots on its own.
The likelihood of so many tiny clots remaining for such a long time was quite low.
However, after the brainstem suffers trauma, its internal blood circulation is significantly affected.
