The renowned Academician District was located to the east of Binhai University.
It and the Zuimo Court District, where the Yan siblings currently lived, were on opposite sides of Binhai University—one to the east, the other to the west.

The district's main entrance was the south gate, located on University Road. It also had an east gate that connected to an access road.
