Despite the flight attendants' desperate, loud attempts to calm everyone, even at their own risk, panic had already spread. Many passengers in the cabin were crying and shouting as if the apocalypse had arrived.
Yan Feifan was afraid, too.
But he noticed that while the plane was shaking, the turbulence wasn't violent enough to feel like it was out of control.
Looking out the window, he also noticed that there was no terrifying black smoke trailing from the back of the plane as it made a wide turn in the air.
This gave Yan Feifan a great deal of hope that he would survive.
Perhaps this really was just a temporary return to the airport for some unknown reason.
He suddenly noticed that Feng Jian, sitting beside him, was remarkably calm, even though his face was a little pale and his hands were clenched tightly on the armrests.
