Chapter 221 - Chapter 221 - Order in chaos

Dad is making our meetings more organized now that he realizes we have so many things to do.

At the start of the day, everyone except Ten and me will train at the outskirts of the territory.

They will visit the palace before returning to the castle, as the pack and Leon will meet with their subordinates to handle their positions' responsibilities, along with the additional tasks we discussed.

Thankfully, more creatures and beings are working for them, so they don't take as long to work at the palace.

Also, it has helped a lot that Dad, Aagon and Khamsin are assisting them, too.

Aagon and Khamsin made an alliance with Leon and soon they were so busy with responsibilities as a result of the alliance that a lot of their comrades and assisted them with their work.

They are still staying at the castle, though.

I know that they are making an alliance in preparation for the Demon King's plans to conquer the world in the future.

But besides that, they get along with each other quite well.

After spending time at the palace, they would return to the castle to resume our meeting.

As for Ten and me, we are busy maintaining the state of the castle, keeping our businesses updated, which did extremely well to the delight of everyone, providing meals for everyone which gave a huge boost to their mood and planning for the festivals, entertainment...

Oh gosh! Why am I busy with all of this?!

Ah yes.. after Leon gave me a salary for being in charge of a lot of stuff.

I'm a sucker when it comes to jewels.. especially if they're the violet-colored sort...

Ten noticed that it was too much work for the two of us, so he summoned his familiar to help, along with another lich who is younger than him but quite capable, with Dad's permission, of course.

Now he has an assistant!

The younger lich is silent most of the time, just staring at us mysteriously whenever he's not busy. I was creeped out at first but soon got used to it.

As for Ten's familiar, it is a small golem, shorter than me, but quite strong despite its size, that just grunts whenever Ten talks to it.

So cute!

Ten is fun to be with despite his nervous and timid personality. I enjoyed being with him so much that I told him he is my brother from this moment on.

It gave him great joy that he renewed his vow of being my slave, much to my dismay.

Uh.. whatever gives him fulfillment, I suppose..

.....

Now that our meetings are more organized, we have finished a lot of discussions.

I'm also aware they are discussing things among themselves without me.

I understand that it was too risky for me to know, as the Demon King might read my mind and foil our plans.

Surprisingly, Asmodeus didn't talk to me, making me realize that the war in the Netherworld is serious. Serious enough to be a huge threat to this world too.

Besides Dad being outraged at whoever harmed me, the meeting went smoothly.

The three elderlies are in deep conversation about Maelsa torturing Asmodeus, wondering about his true identity and how he can manage to subdue an archdemon.

They stopped mid-discussion when Dad shrieked at Khamsin, suddenly remembering that I had been kidnapped in his city.

That's so random!

Of course, Khamsin protested that it was not him who did it, but Dad wouldn't hear any excuses.

I was about to cover my ears as Dad looked too furious, but then he gave me a sweet smile and commended me for not being a helpless individual that just waited for someone to rescue me.

It didn't last long, though, as he was soon giving a tender lecture on the stupidity of the pack and Khamsin for trying to get cursed treasure during one of our previous adventures.

Aagon spent all the time laughing while listening to Dad, but Leon simply shook his head at the ridiculousness of their actions.

I got complimented on my common sense again.

Dad also encouraged me to practice my 'weird magic' saying it will help if I encounter any demons.

But..

I would only do it AS a last resort.

Dad gave everyone an intense glare after saying it.

Soon, he was talking about the connection between deserters dwindling in numbers and the increasing presence of the cultists in their lands.

At this point, Ten and I excused ourselves and went to the kitchen to cook meals for everyone.

I'm in a great mood now that my menstruation is over and I have tons of energy, so I decided to make cocktails for everyone!

I'm making a lot, since I know the pack loves them a little too much.

Quite tempting to make it by the barrel but no...

It would be too much work for me.

After we made enough food for an army, Ten used his magic to make all the food float towards the reception chamber.

By the time we entered, everyone was in high spirits as they waited for me to tell them to eat.

As soon as Ten and I are done decorating the banquet room, we will eat there instead, as it looks funny seeing all the food floating around the room.

I gave them a smile and they all ate like they were starving to death.

The cocktails seemed like water to them, so they ran out pretty fast, even though I made a lot.

Oh well.

I really should try making it by the barrel in the future.

.....

I don't know how many times Dad has repeated this, but he said again how he wished I were a magic user, so he could train me personally without payment.

Uh.. thanks Dad?

He was discussing the dead magic zones earlier.

To be honest, I wasn't listening, as Lion and I were too engrossed in giving each other little bites on the neck.

I know that he is restless as we haven't had intercourse since I started my menstruation.

Despite me offering to pleasure him, he doesn't want to, as he is too afraid that he might not be able to control himself.

Seriously?

I don't want to test that theory, so of course I didn't say anything else.

To my embarrassment, I can hear Dad calling my name.

He knows that I'm not listening!

Lion doesn't seem to mind as he continues giving me little bites on my neck and is now moving to my shoulder.

I really need to soothe him as soon as the meeting is done.

It turns out that Dad just wanted to know why I'm scared of the undead.

He's just teasing me!

I could see the smirk on his face as I made a face back at him, knowing he just wanted Lion and me to pay attention to him.

Of course, I gave him a reason to by telling him about the horror movies that I used to watch back on Earth.

He seemed to think it was highly amusing that he used a spell to show everyone one of my memories of watching a horror movie on my laptop.

Instead of being focused on the movie, everyone soon became curious about the laptop and my room.

Not to mention the number of posters I have on the walls that have the images of a lion, a dragon, a wolf, a snake, an actor who looks quite similar to Ghost...

Now, we spent the rest of the meeting talking about the wonders of my room back on Earth.

....

After having a lively conversation about inventing magical equipment similar to my laptop, Dad's voice became serious as he told Aagon, Leon and Khamsin that they were going to have a private chat regarding the cultists in the desert.

The rest of us hurriedly exited the room before Dad changed his mind.

Sly, Alpha and Ten excused themselves after Ten's assistant told him that they had already run out of the makeup products that we are currently selling.

The female creatures who approached Sly at the tavern a long time ago proved to be quite talented at selling the products, not to mention highly skillful in applying them. We kept running out of stock.

Besides the makeup, we soon expanded to more beauty products that can also be used by males.

Ten's knowledge of vegetation is extremely valuable.

Orm went to oversee the construction of the magic school, which proved to be a great idea, as a huge number of creatures and beings are anticipating for its opening and offering all sorts of payment to make the construction go even faster.

It's not the construction that Orm is having a hard time with, but the mentors.

He is extremely meticulous and has such high standards that it took him a long time to find the right individuals.

I teased him the other day that he has a new job title, headmaster. He looked confused at first as he wasn't familiar with the term, but when I explained what it meant, he liked it so much that he kept mumbling the word at random times with a smug look on his face, to the point that the rest of the pack began to look at him strangely.

As for Ghost, besides his other responsibilities, he is keeping up to date on all our businesses. Thankfully, all of our businesses are doing so well, extremely well, that Ghost always comes home with several purchases in tow, making Lion threaten him that he is NOT going to expand his room again.

I changed his mind, though, because I felt sorry for Ghost and gave Lion the idea of an indoor swimming pool.

Since Ghost's room is above the area I suggested for the indoor swimming pool, Lion has no choice but to expand his room, much to Ghost's joy.

But I warned him that I wouldn't help him next time and that he really had to manage his impulsive shopping.

Though he promised me, I have a feeling that he will soon forget about it.

....

The swimming pool proved to be a great addition, as we have another place to have fun... uh.. meetings...

I convinced everyone that swimming is a great way to exercise for everyone and...

DON'T TAKE OFF YOUR CLOTHES FOR GOODNESS SAKE!

In my irritation, I told Dad to show everyone the memory of me having the time of my life swimming at a resort.

Everyone loved it so much...

That they wanted me to design swimwear for them.

The swimming pool Lion made is just like the resort I visited, complete with all the works.

Like I said, we were there to have fun, instead of having the meeting.

Yeahhhhh!!!

Sly, Ghost, Alpha and Khamsin were having the time of their lives jumping off the diving board.

Orm is having a relaxing time sunbathing near the enormous window while the elderlies are soaking and having a conversation in the heated jacuzzi.

As for Lion and me?

He carried me to our room after he got carried away with his teasing.

Seeing me in a bikini reminded him of the time that...

Ahh...

Lion..

He chuckled as he licked my ear, telling me to focus as he continued to...

.....

He knocked me out!

That Lion!

By the time I woke up, I realized that I was so knocked out as a result of our intense... far too intense..

Ahem.

I lost count of how many times we did it.

But yeah.. it knocked me out..

FOR MORE THAN A DAY!

THAT LION!!!

I liked it though.

I sat up and glanced around, and to my happy surprise, he had a meal ready for me and a bouquet of flowers on our bedside table.

How sweet!

After tasting the food, it's quite obvious that he is the one cooking my meal too.

I know it's him because he doesn't use too many condiments on the food.

Yet, it's still good.

After finishing everything, the dirty dishes vanished, as if he was making sure that I had eaten everything.

Sigh.

When I went to the bathroom to take a bath, I saw that he had already prepared new clothes for me to wear today..

NEW CLOTHES AGAIN?!

I STILL HAVE PLENTY I HAVEN'T WORN!

Not to mention that it's just his. I also have clothes given to me by others that I haven't worn.

It will take me more than a millennium to wear everything!

That's not an exaggeration, as that's how many clothes I have!!!

But of course, I won't say anything. It's one of their many ways they show love, even if it's too much.

I like it despite having an excess of everything.

After all, you can't have too much love.

.....

No, I don't want to know!

Dad grinned at me and asked me earlier if I wanted to know about the thing that Alpha, Khamsin and I fell into in the cave.

No! Blah.. blah.. blah...

Since Alpha and Khamsin were too curious for their own good, I covered my ears while singing a random song.

Good thing I did, as seeing the horrified and disgusted looks on everyone's face made me think that it was good for me to remain ignorant of it.

Yes. Good decision on my part. Both Alpha and Khamsin retched and bolted from the room while covering their mouths with faces turned a sickly green.

Some things are better left unknown.

The elderlies are in a good mood because Khamsin taught them about the beauty of wholesaling and haggling, giving me credit in the middle of his teaching.

As usual, all sorts of praises were showered upon me. I soon got used to them and just nodded along.

Being in a good mood, Dad soon shared another funny memory of mine.

When we were tumbling inside the bubble that Orm made and...

Ew!

I don't want to remember that!

Now Alpha and Khamsin are taking another trip to the bathroom again, followed by Sly and Orm, who all look extremely green, like vomit is on the tip of their mouths.

It's only Dad and Ghost who find it hilarious, as Aagon, Leon and Lion look disgusted while trying to imagine the scenario.

.....

Now they are swapping again.

Dad is training Orm and Khamsin in their magic.

Leon is training Alpha and Sly to use magic and weapons at the same time.

Aagon is training Lion and Ghost in their ultimate forms and in mastering their weapons as well.

As I don't want to be a helpless damsel in distress, I sweetly persuaded Ten to find a safe place for me to practice my transformation magic.

Despite Dad's warning to stay in the castle for safety, Ten soon found a loophole.

Ten told me that I can practice outside the castle, but not anywhere else, meaning I can practice on the castle grounds.

Not just on the grounds, BUT around and even on the castle itself.

Great!

With that information, I transformed into another form, one with wings.

The god Apollo is my inspiration this time and I transformed into a likeness of him, with a bit of personalization on my part.

Instead of having golden hair, I decided not to change the color of my hair, which is white as snow.

Earth's snow, to be exact, as the color of snow here is entirely different.

Ten is quite helpful in making male clothes for me. To my surprise, the designs are great.

Honestly, after looking in the mirror, I'm in love!

No wonder a lot of goddesses in the mythical books lusted over him.

Using the powers of my transformation stone, I transformed the Buddhist staff into...

Drumroll...

A sniper rifle.

It took a long time, though, as the holy powers of the Buddhist staff clashed with the powers of the corrupted Transformation Stone.

Seeing that I was having a hard time, Ten helped me and finally, it was successful.

Now both of us are having the time of our lives, with me on the roof trying to hit the target, while Ten is placing targets around the castle, some of which are moving and flying.

To prevent others from finding out, his assistant and his familiar are cleaning up the targets I managed to hit.

Bull's eye!

Heh...

This is so fun!

Despite being at the very top of the roof, I felt no fear at all as I continued to hit the targets.

I don't want to be helpless...

I want to protect those who are dear to me!

And with a click, I finally hit the last flying target with ease.

.....

Thankfully, I managed to finish practicing before the others returned.

Ten enjoyed examining my sniper rifle, boosting its powers without removing its holy nature. Afterward, I turned the sniper rifle back into a Buddhist staff to prevent suspicion.

It's good timing since everyone returned earlier than expected.

After the meal in the banquet room, where they praised me despite my insistence that Ten did all the work, we went to the reception chamber to continue the meeting.

Dad started the meeting by making a comment about how I almost died saving Bubu, who turned out to be Subus in disguise and how easy it is for me to sacrifice my life for others without a second thought for my own safety.

Blah.. blah.. blah...

I just nodded along, with his words going in one ear and out the other.

After so many unnecessary comments and advice, the discussion soon turned to how I managed to find out the mystery of the unknown.

Leon reported that knowing that valuable information helped a lot in getting rid of them as they posed a huge threat to the territory.

Alpha told everyone that they are done getting rid of all the unknowns in the territory and will be inspecting the new places that were recently added.

After everyone was assigned their designated areas, the meeting ended early. As they were leaving for their areas, Dad reminded them not to take too long as time was limited and Maelsa might return from wherever he came from.

I wonder what excuse he gave to Leon?

Several nuzzles and kisses were given to me by the pack. Then, they left with Khamsin, Leon and Aagon, who all offered to assist them to finish the job faster.

....

I had a long conversation with Dad while everyone else was away.

Yeah... He knows what Ten and I did while they were gone.

Surprisingly, he wasn't angry as, technically, I didn't leave the castle. He encouraged me instead to practice with it to be able to protect myself from danger.

He was just nervous seeing me fly around on the roof while I was practicing hitting flying and moving targets.

Despite the others' complaints that Dad is a harsh trainer, he was patient with me and gentle with his scolding.

We were on the roof while I was trying to hit a target flying in front of me, all while having a conversation with Dad.

According to him, it would be better that I get used to the distraction, as when I am in the middle of battle, it will be noisy, there will be no place for silence and my concentration will be disturbed.

Anyway, we are talking about a lot of things, such as the time I went back in time.

I gave him the broken artifact, much to his glee as he told me that he would repair it.

But not to use it as it is too risky.

And he continued to listen to my stories until he felt that the others were about to return.

Before we came down, he warned me to be careful as he is not always here to protect me.

Yes, I realized that my soul is now the price of Lion and Alpha's contract, following an intense investigation by him.

I should keep watch.
