With a low laugh, Vladimir, leaning on his cane, slowly walked out of the conference room.
Shadow Fiend's appearance was like a stone thrown into a calm lake, stirring up a huge wave in the Holy Land.
The last time he appeared, one Celestial Dragon died. While sleeping at home, he was pierced through the heart with a single blow.
This enraged all the Celestial Dragons, who worried about their own safety.
"Damn Phantom Organization! They must all be arrested and executed!"
In a grand mansion in the Holy Land, a middle-aged man with a large belly raged.
This man was named "Nicholas."
"The night guards are all useless! Letting them guard the Holy Land was a mistake!"
In front of Nicholas, a male Celestial Dragon in his early twenties chuckled. "Father, I heard that Mynogear was captured. I got intel from the government that Shadow Fiend's target this time doesn't seem to be assassinating a Celestial Dragon, but Devil Fruits."
Hearing this, Nicholas's eyes flashed. "That's a good thing. Hmph, Mynogear is probably dead by now."
He paused, then added, "Since Shadow Fiend's goal is Devil Fruits, go and retrieve the two fruits from the treasury. If Shadow Fiend comes to kill our family, we'll hand the fruits over to him."
"Yes, Father."
Just then, a butler's voice came from the doorway.
"Master, the Five Elders are here."
"The Five Elders?" Nicholas's expression froze. He thought to himself, "Why are they here so late? Could it be related to Shadow Fiend?"
Given that his life was at stake, Nicholas dared not delay and quickly got up to greet them.
However, before he could even leave the living room, the door was pushed open, and a short, slightly plump old man, holding a small cane, strode in.
Seeing this, Nicholas quickly said, "Five Elders, what brings you here so late at night?"
Vladimir raised his hand, signaling the accompanying guards to step back, then surveyed the two people in the living room.
He glanced briefly at the young Celestial Dragon before focusing his gaze on Nicholas.
"You know about Shadow Fiend appearing in the Holy Land, don't you?"
"Yes, such a major event, everyone has received the news." Nicholas sighed. "I didn't expect my brother Mynogear to be captured. He's likely in dire straits."
"Hehehehe…"
Vladimir chuckled inwardly.
Your dear brother Mynogear is currently asking me to kill you.
These two must have a private feud, and not a small one at that, otherwise, it wouldn't have reached the point of wanting to kill each other.
Thinking this, Vladimir mimicked the old man's speaking style. "Hmph, Shadow Fiend is too audacious! This time, we must teach the Phantom Organization a profound lesson! We cannot let them continue to run rampant!"
"What plan does the government have?" Nicholas's eyes lit up.
He felt his life was precious. A pirate daring to attack the Holy Land was utterly arrogant and must be executed, crushing the threat in its cradle.
"There is a major plan. I'm here to inform you and require your cooperation on some details."
Saying this, Vladimir glanced at the others present.
Nicholas immediately understood and looked at his son. "Go and prepare the Devil Fruits."
"Yes, Father."
The young Celestial Dragon nodded and turned to leave the living room.
Soon, the door closed, leaving only Vladimir and Nicholas in the living room.
Vladimir walked to the sofa and sat down leisurely, then chuckled softly. "Nicholas, what do you think of the Holy Land?"
"The Holy Land?" Nicholas was confused. However, since the Five Elder asked, he naturally had to answer.
"The Holy Land is peaceful and serene, a divine kingdom on land. All of this is thanks to the government."
"Well said." Vladimir smiled kindly. "However, the existence of the Phantom Organization threatens this peace and tranquility. To restore order, Nicholas, we need your strength."
Nicholas felt a sense of strangeness. The usual Five Elders didn't speak to him like this.
However, he didn't overthink it and nodded. "What do you need me to do? Since the Five Elders have spoken, I am happy to help eliminate the Phantom Pirate Group, especially Shadow Fiend. That damned thing shouldn't exist in this world!"
Vladimir looked gratified. He stood up, walked to Nicholas, and patted his shoulder.
"Excellent! What I need you to do is very simple…"
At this point, Vladimir paused, then suddenly shouted sternly, "Shadow Fiend!! You dare to show yourself again! Guards!"
"What?!" Nicholas was greatly alarmed and quickly looked around, but found nothing unusual.
The next moment, a pulling force came from his shoulder.
It was as if space had torn open, about to swallow him whole.
"What is this?" Nicholas's face was filled with shock. Half his body had already been sucked in.
"You!"
Nicholas looked at the Five Elder in disbelief, only to see him with a cold, indifferent expression.
Before he could leave any message, in the next instant, he disappeared, completely swallowed by the rift in space.
"Go to the Shadow World and meet your brother Mynogear," Vladimir said softly.
Just then, the door was pushed open, and several guards rushed in.
"Lord Five Elder!"
As soon as these people entered, they came to Vladimir's side, warily scanning their surroundings.
Before Vladimir could speak, another group arrived in the hall. These people were dressed in black suits, clearly the night guards, led by a man around thirty years old, wearing a white-bordered robe.
"Lord Five Elder!" the leader immediately exclaimed. "Are you alright?"
"Hmph!"
