"Shadow Fiend!" Nico Robin's eyes widened, then she breathed a slight sigh of relief.
Vladimir sized up the young girl and nodded with satisfaction. "Well done. However, it seems you're in trouble…?"
...
Vladimir sized up Nico Robin.
The young girl was wearing a gray cloak, looking travel-worn, but with a hint of anxiety on her face.
Vladimir sensed that the Navy was approaching the inn outside, numbering about 30 people.
"It seems you're in trouble," Vladimir said with a light chuckle.
Still in the mood to laugh?
Nico Robin pursed her lips and said quickly, "After you left that day, I completed my final mission at the casino and then quietly left. I then infiltrated a pirate crew…"
"Stop!"
Vladimir shook his head and gestured. "I don't care about that. The process doesn't matter, as long as there's a result. You've demonstrated your abilities and intelligence. In short, welcome to the Phantom Organization as an outer member."
For an eighteen-year-old girl, and a wanted criminal at that, to travel from the West Blue to Water 7 in such a short time was undoubtedly arduous.
But so what? It was part of the test. Vladimir wasn't interested in the process, only the outcome.
Hearing this, Robin breathed a slight sigh of relief, then said, "After arriving in Water 7, I don't know why, but I was targeted by the Navy. Now, they've tracked me down to the inn!"
She only realized that Water 7 had a Navy presence after arriving. A warship was docked at the port!
As they were speaking, there were loud, rough knocks on the door.
A loud voice called out.
"Open up! We are the Navy! We suspect a wanted criminal is hiding in this room! Open the door quickly!"
"What should I do?" Robin's expression changed slightly, and she immediately looked at Shadow Fiend.
In response, Vladimir tilted his chin and indicated, "They want you to open the door, so open it. Don't forget, you're part of the Phantom Organization now. They wouldn't dare arrest you, even if they had the guts."
Hearing this, Robin's mouth opened. She wanted to ask if he was joking.
However, seeing Shadow Fiend's calm demeanor, she felt a little inspired. Taking a deep breath, she slowly walked to the door.
But as soon as she opened a crack, with a bang, the Navy officers outside rushed in. Then, rows of dark muzzles were raised, aimed at the room.
"Don't move!"
Following this, a middle-aged Colonel, wearing a Justice coat and with a cigar in his mouth, strode in.
The Colonel had a fearsome scar on his face. He held a wanted poster and stared at Robin for a few moments before looking down to confirm.
"That's right! She's the Child of the Devil, Nico Robin!" the Colonel snorted coldly. "Arrest her! Be careful, she's an ability user!"
"Yes!"
Immediately, a soldier took out Seastone handcuffs and approached Robin.
Seeing this, Robin panicked. She couldn't help but glance to her side, only to find that Shadow Fiend had disappeared.
In this critical moment, she quickly shouted, "I'm with the Phantom Organization…!"
"Hmm?" The Colonel frowned. "Phantom Organization?"
"I'm with the Phantom…"
Robin's words faltered. She wondered if she was a miscellaneous worker, an intelligence operative, an assassin, or what?
However, the thought lasted only a moment before she forced herself to remain calm and said, "I have joined the Phantom Pirates!"
"What?" The Colonel's expression changed slightly, staring intently at Robin. The other Marines also trembled.
Phantom Organization!
These two words seemed to carry immense weight. Just uttering them could deter these Marines.
Robin watched this scene with surprise. She keenly sensed the shift in the atmosphere, especially the Colonel's fluctuating expression.
"Hmph!" Suddenly, the Colonel said sternly, "You're lying! What kind of pirate crew is the Phantom Organization? Do you think you can just join them? Arrest her!"
The Phantom Pirate Group was a top-tier force, even more terrifying than the Four Emperors' pirate crews.
The orders from above specifically cautioned against easily provoking members of the Phantom Organization.
However, the Colonel had encountered many impostors using the Phantom Organization's name to commit crimes before. They were all frauds!
Naturally, he classified Nico Robin as one of them.
"She's one of us."
Just then, a voice echoed from the void.
The Marines' eyes widened as they saw a wisp of black smoke drifting out from the darkness ahead, twisting and forming into a human figure.
"Shadow Fiend!!" the Colonel exclaimed in horror.
Including him, all the Marines retreated simultaneously, and the atmosphere became strangely eerie.
"Impossible! How could the Child of the Devil join you?!" he said incredunnaturally.
Information about the Phantom Organization could pile up like a mountain. The Marines had studied each of their members.
Each member was a formidable pirate, powerful and bizarre.
Nico Robin, for example, only had a bounty of 78 million due to her unique abilities; her combat power was negligible.
Vladimir said calmly, "Do we need to notify the Navy when we recruit someone?"
"No…" The Colonel's face was extremely grim. With Shadow Fiend here, there was no way they could arrest anyone.
"Then get lost?" Vladimir waved his hand. "Go back and tell Sengoku that Nico Robin is now part of our Phantom Pirate Group…"
