Chapter 195 - Chapter 193

193 Demon God Ma Hongjun The Ultimate Demonic Path

"S-Senior, this is all a misunderstanding!" Zeus wanted nothing more than to slap himself twice—he never should've run his mouth, and that traitor should've explained the internal situation of the Heavenly Dao Sect properly.

"A misunderstanding? Fine. Someone tell me—how does the Longevity Gate compare to the Heavenly Dao Sect in strength?" Chu Feng turned and asked the group behind him.

"Replying to Senior, the Longevity Gate is far stronger than the current Heavenly Dao Sect. They have over three thousand disciples; we can't contend with them." Another elderly man hastily answered, shame written all over his face.

"Good! I like your honesty, old geezer. Now, hand over everything you've got, or I'll cripple you first." Chu Feng pressed the edge of his blade against Zeus's neck.

The icy touch made Zeus shudder; he hurriedly took off the bracelet on his wrist and handed it to Chu Feng.

"Motherf*er, are you kidding me? Your entire fortune is one lousy bracelet?" Chu Feng roared, raising his sword to hack at Zeus's left arm.

"Argh!" Zeus screamed.

"Shut up. Make another sound and I'll cut out your tongue." Chu Feng's voice was ice-cold; anyone who dared covet his woman had better be ready to die.

Zeus clamped his mouth shut, cold sweat streaming down his forehead, terror etched on his face.

"I'll give you one more chance—hand everything over."

The blade touched his neck again. Zeus, trembling from the pain, didn't dare move a muscle.

"S-Senior, besides the collections back home, everything I have is in that storage bracelet," Zeus stammered, his right hand pressed tightly over his bleeding wrist.

"Check it." Chu Feng tossed the bracelet to the red-haired elder.

The elder caught it, closed his eyes to inspect it, and his already-red hair seemed to glow hotter as his face flushed with excitement.

Seeing the elder's expression, Chu Feng knew the haul was good. He addressed the kneeling crowd, "Stop kneeling, all of you. Get up and charge across—our coffers are empty, so we'll rob them to fill them."

"As you command!" The Heavenly Dao Sect disciples had endured grievances for years; Chu Feng knew they needed this outlet.

Zeus watched the Heavenly Dao Sect swarm like bandits, his ashen face turning deathly grey. These were the elite of his own sect!

"Old geezer, since you're cleaned out, what use are you? Once I finish here, I'll loot your home too. Rest in pieces." Without hesitation Chu Feng lopped off Zeus's head.

Blood sprayed everywhere, dyeing the ground red. Qian Renxue frowned and waved her hand; everything turned to nothingness, leaving Chu Feng slack-jawed.

Bravado really is just hot air—true strength is king. Chu Feng's mind raced, scheming how to coax a cultivation method out of Qian Renxue.

"Holy Maiden, Senior!" The Heavenly Dao Sect members beamed, clearly pleased with their spoils.

"Let's go. Back to the Main Hall." Qian Renxue spoke coolly, turned, and strode off; everyone hurried after her.

Surveying the broken walls and ruins, Qian Renxue's expression darkened. After a long silence she simply sighed in resignation.

She calmly extended a jade-white arm, fingers dancing through seals. The ground trembled and the rubble vanished, replaced by level earth.

Qian Renxue produced an array of stones, tossing each to a different spot, then resumed her hand-seals. Nine pillars of light shot skyward from various directions, converging overhead.

"Set!" With a delicate shout the pillars became a dome of light that enveloped the area, then slowly faded.

"Qian Renxue, what… was that?" Chu Feng didn't understand the method, but it looked beautiful—like seeing a rainbow without the rain.

"Just a Nine-Color Spirit-Gathering Array to speed up your cultivation later." Qian Renxue drifted to the spot where the nine colors had merged and pulled a stone from her robes—it looked suspiciously like a teleportation stone.

"Done. Rebuild the Main Hall with what we just seized. I need to meditate; Little Sword, come with me." Calmly she took Chu Feng's hand and walked off into the distance.

"We obey the Holy Maiden's command." Everyone knelt again in salute.

Chu Feng winced—so many old-timers kowtowing to him; wasn't that shortening his lifespan?

"Little Sword, why were you so bloodthirsty today—and your language so crude?" Qian Renxue asked once they were far away.

"Huh? What's wrong? A man should speak his mind—that's frankness! Why act like some hypocrite with a beast's heart? That old coot was a wolf in sheep's clothing!" Chu Feng declared righteously.

Qian Renxue gave a radiant smile that nearly stole Chu Feng's soul.

"As for bloodthirsty—no way. Whoever bullies you, I'll wipe out, no matter who they are." He treated it as a confession.

Qian Renxue's gaze softened; she pulled Chu Feng into an embrace, and it felt like flying.

Holy crap—happiness struck too fast. Did she just accept me? Chu Feng's head wagged mischievously; everything felt surreal.

"Ah!" Qian Renxue gasped and shoved him away, her haughty face glaring at him in mock anger.

Chu Feng's Adam's apple bobbed as blood trickled unheeded from his nose.

"What's wrong, Little Sword? Are you unwell?" Seeing the nosebleed, Qian Renxue fretted and checked his meridians.

"Qian Renxue, I'm fine." Chu Feng's face actually flushed; he'd never been so embarrassed.

Panda had meant to follow, but witnessing this scene he spun on his heel. Good grief—unwatchable!

Chu Feng was still euphoric; he'd never felt this way after battle, yet now he did—and his combat strength had reached an incredible, unimaginable level.

"Gurgle!" His stomach protested; all strength and energy drained away, and Chu Feng plopped to the ground, weak as a kitten.

"Pfft!" Qian Renxue laughed; she knew Chu Feng was starving. Without food for energy, Little Sword was as helpless as a child.

"Here, Little Sword, eat some fruit first. Bear with it—meat will come soon." She consoled him gently.

Chu Feng stared at the pile of fruit, silently cursing the heavens. When would this end? He was a meat-eater—fruit every day? Was he raising rabbits?

Still, complain as he might, he had to eat. Without food he'd be useless. For survival he endured; for strength he endured; for the pretty girl he endured.
