Celeste beamed with joy as she immediately rushed forward to hug Leon, pressing her head against his chest with an enthusiasm that nearly knocked him backward.
He could feel the warmth radiating off her body like a gentle fire.
"I woke up around a day ago and saw you unconscious on the ground, and no matter what I tried to do, I couldn't wake you up no matter how hard I tried," Celeste explained, her voice muffled slightly against his chest, "I tried to exit this place afterward while carrying you with me, but some of the traps activated and I had to flee back here because they were far too strong for me to handle alone."
"I guess that means I was passed out for four days total," Leon nodded slowly as he did the math in his head, his hand still gently resting on Celeste's back.
"That's quite a long time to be unconscious, honestly more than I was expecting."
