Tsuru said helplessly, "Now it seems the Three Emperors Alliance and the Revolutionary Army have already established contact. They met on Garbage Island to discuss something, and it's very likely they reached some kind of agreement. And on top of that, there's Vegapunk."

"As Marines, we all understand Vegapunk's technological power. This time, the World Government wants to use the decisive battle between the Phoenix Pirates and the Blackbeard Pirates—while both crews are away from the New World—to dismantle the Three Emperors Alliance and eliminate Vegapunk."

Tsuru went on, her tone firm. "As long as we deal with the Beasts Pirates and the Big Mom Pirates, then no matter how strong the Phoenix Pirates are, they won't be able to stir up trouble."

Sengoku rubbed his temples, clearly troubled. "Why is there a war every single day! Even with a large-scale world conscription, the Marines can't keep enduring wars on this scale."

"And taking down two Emperors—how could it be that easy! Those guys aren't idiots. If they can't win, they'll just run."

After all, both Kaido and Big Mom could fly. If the battle turned against them, they could simply retreat into the sky. Even during the Marineford War, when the Marines held such an overwhelming advantage, they still failed to completely annihilate Whitebeard's forces. To march into the New World now and try to defeat two Emperors at once… Sengoku himself had little confidence.

But Tsuru replied solemnly, "For the World Government, and for us Marines, this really is an opportunity. The combined strength of the Three Emperors Alliance is terrifying. Right now, because of the grudge between the Blackbeard Pirates and the Phoenix Pirates, the Phoenix Pirates are heading to the Grand Line to face Blackbeard. For us, that's an excellent opening."

Sengoku's expression darkened. He said grimly, "Easy for you to say. Even without the Phoenix Pirates, just the Beasts Pirates and the Big Mom Pirates are already hard enough to deal with—especially that monster, Kaido."

Even so, Sengoku knew the Gorosei had already made up their minds. Talking them down was impossible. All he could do now was hurry and devise a battle plan that might actually work.

Sengoku immediately reached for a transponder snail. Before anything else, he needed to confirm whether the World Government would support them against the Beasts Pirates and the Big Mom Pirates. With their backing, the Marines could manage. Without it, even a victory would come at a terrible cost.

Before long, the transponder snail connected. On the other end, one of the Gorosei, Saint Warcury, picked up and said, "Hello, this is the Gorosei."

"Saint Warcury, this is Sengoku," Sengoku replied at once.

Warcury's tone was calm, almost detached. "Since you've called, have you already drawn up a detailed battle plan? Or is there something you need?"

"We don't have a plan yet, but we do have a request." Sengoku's expression hardened as he spoke earnestly. "Saint Warcury, and the other Gorosei… will the World Government support the Marines in this battle against the Big Mom Pirates and the Beasts Pirates?"

At that, Warcury's voice turned cold. "Hmph. Sengoku, with your ability, you can't deal with those two using Marineford's strength alone? Right now, both the Beasts Pirates and the Big Mom Pirates have fewer than ten thousand members. Even with the pirates they've recruited recently, they're nothing to worry about."

"Even so," Sengoku answered solemnly, "over the past year, the Marines have gone through three major wars in succession: the Marineford War, the Cake Island War, and the Egghead Island War. Our forces have suffered heavy losses."

"It's irrelevant," Warcury replied indifferently. "Just hurry up and gather elite Marines from the Four Seas and the Grand Line. In the end, wiping out pirates is your job as Marines."

Sengoku's eye twitched despite himself. What an easy way to say it… But higher rank meant higher authority, and he couldn't openly oppose a Gorosei. Choosing his words carefully, he said, "If we do that, the Four Seas and the Grand Line will be left short on elite Marines. If pirates cause trouble then, it could damage Marine prestige. The Marines are the face of the World Government. If our prestige is damaged, that won't be good for the World Government either."

"It doesn't matter. This time, our top priority is eliminating the threat of the Three Emperors Alliance. As for the other pirates—no matter how much trouble they cause in the Four Seas or on the Grand Line—they won't amount to anything."

Faced with the Gorosei's unwavering stance, Sengoku couldn't find any room to argue. Saint Warcury went on, "But you don't need to worry. The World Government will also dispatch part of its forces to assist your Marines in dealing with the Big Mom Pirates. Your main focus will be handling the Beasts Pirates."

Realizing the decision was final, Sengoku could only respond helplessly, "I understand. I'll immediately draft a detailed battle plan."

Meanwhile, on the Grand Line.

After entrusting Luffy's body to Vegapunk for preservation, Ace hurried back to the Moby Dick's successor—the Phoenix ship.

He had not forgotten his father's grudge. This time, Blackbeard had taken the initiative to challenge the Phoenix Pirates, and Ace was determined to kill him.

Marco felt the same. To completely annihilate the Blackbeard Pirates, he had mobilized the full strength of the Phoenix Pirates: all eighteen division commanders and thousands of allied pirates.

This decisive battle was to erase Blackbeard, avenge Whitebeard and their fallen comrades, and finally put an end to the past.

On April 6th, the day of the decisive battle, the Phoenix Pirates arrived at Demon Valley Town ahead of time and forcibly drove out every pirate and resident there.

Once word spread that the Phoenix Pirates and the Blackbeard Pirates would be settling things on this island, the pirates who had been around the island didn't dare linger nearby. One after another, they chose to flee.

At that moment, Marco began assigning roles. "Jinbe, Namur, I'm putting the sea in your hands. Your main task is to make sure the Blackbeard Pirates can't escape."

"When it starts, king against king, general against general. I'll be the one to handle Blackbeard."

The Phoenix Pirates listened and nodded in agreement. Ace desperately wanted to volunteer to face Blackbeard himself, but he could only swallow the urge.

He didn't know how strong Blackbeard had become, but he'd heard the man was now a user of three Devil Fruits. That alone was enough to make Ace abandon the idea of confronting him head-on.

Back then, when Blackbeard only had the Dark-Dark Fruit, Marco still hadn't been able to defeat him. Now Teach had three Devil Fruits, and even though Marco's strength had risen sharply in the more than half a year since the Marineford War, he still didn't dare claim he could win against Blackbeard.

The Blackbeard Pirates hadn't been around for long, but their numbers had already swelled to nearly ten thousand. On paper, they weren't any fewer than the Phoenix Pirates. But most of those newcomers were small-time riffraff—far weaker than the seasoned fighters of the Phoenix Pirates.

The Phoenix Pirates had reached Demon Valley Town before sunrise. Now the sun was about to sink below the horizon, and Blackbeard still hadn't shown. Restlessness spread through the crew; one after another, they started cursing and complaining as their patience wore thin.

At last, just as the sun was about to set, a fleet of pirate warships appeared, sailing straight toward Demon Valley Town.

"The Blackbeard Pirates are here!" the lookout suddenly yelled. In an instant, the Phoenix Pirates snapped to attention. Their earlier boredom vanished, replaced by a burning focus. As they stared at the distant warships flying Blackbeard's flag, anger flared in the eyes of every Phoenix pirate.

"Everyone, don't act rashly!" Marco shouted. Black flames burst to life around his body as he transformed and slowly lifted off into the sky.

On the deck of the Xebec's Sword, Blackbeard looked up at Marco and grinned. "Zehahahahaha! So you guys got here early! Marco, Ace, long time no see."

"Teach…" Hearing that smug voice, the members of the Phoenix Pirates all bristled with irritation.

Blackbeard immediately gave his order. "Lads, don't open fire. Just land on the island."

High above, Marco began using his level detection to gauge the strength of the Blackbeard Pirates. Even though his own power had grown, the system hadn't been issuing many new missions lately. At the moment, only two tasks remained on Marco's system panel: one, eliminate the Blackbeard Pirates; two, eliminate the World Government.

'Marshall D. Teach. Logia-type Dark-Dark Fruit. Paramecia-type Shadow-Shadow Fruit. Zoan-type Bat-Bat Fruit, Mythical Zoan, Vampire Form. Strength estimate: Yonko level (strong Yonko level at night, weak King level at midnight).'

Marco's eyes narrowed when he saw the three swirling Devil Fruit auras around Blackbeard. Three? He'd expected the man to have snatched more power since Marineford, but actually carrying three Devil Fruits… and the third one being the Vampire Fruit on top of that…

From what he knew, the Vampire Fruit's power only truly came alive at night—especially around midnight—when Blackbeard's strength could spike to a Weak King Level.

Marco tilted his head, glancing at the horizon. The sun was already dipping, staining the sky orange, but full darkness hadn't fallen yet. He could only scoff inwardly. This guy Blackbeard really was arrogant, showing up before night even fully set in.

Was he looking down on Marco that much? Or had he grown so conceited he believed he could handle Marco even without the cover of darkness?

Marco had learned about the Vampire Fruit from the Devil Fruit Encyclopedia, and he still retained memories from his previous life.

A Mythical Zoan… and an extremely polarized one. In daylight it was weak—so weak it practically feared sunlight. But once night descended, its true power would awaken.

Even so, Marco himself now stood at Strong King Level. Aside from Imu, there shouldn't be anyone left in this world who could truly stand against him.

He shifted his gaze over the rest of Blackbeard's crew, evaluating them one by one.

Shiryu of the Rain: Paramecia-type Clear-Clear Fruit. Estimated strength—Weak Yonko Level.

Doc Q: Paramecia-type Sick-Sick Fruit. Estimated strength—Weak Captain Level.

Vasco Shot: Paramecia-type Booze-Booze Fruit. Estimated strength—Weak Yonko Commander Level.

Trebol: Paramecia-type Sticky-Sticky Fruit. Estimated strength—Weak Captain Level.

Diamante: Paramecia-type Flutter-Flutter Fruit. Estimated strength—Weak Captain Level.

Pica: Paramecia-type Stone-Stone Fruit. Estimated strength—Captain Level.

…Looking over the full lineup, Marco had to admit that the Blackbeard Pirates were now organized like a crew belonging to two Yonko combined. Shiryu might only be at Weak Yonko Level, but he had at least stepped onto that threshold.

When the Blackbeard Pirates disembarked in Demon Valley Town, the two crews faced off in the streets—Blackbeard's side against the Phoenix Pirates'. No one struck first, but the Phoenix Pirates' gazes were razor sharp, blazing with killing intent as they stared down Teach and his men.

"So that's Blackbeard? He's so ugly." Yamato wrinkled her nose at Blackbeard's rough, twisted face and spoke with open disgust. "And this guy actually killed his own comrades, betrayed the Whitebeard Pirates, and betrayed Whitebeard himself. That's completely unforgivable."

"Is this the guy who killed Pops?" Nekomamushi growled through gritted teeth. Now that they had officially joined the Phoenix Pirates, the hatred of the former Whitebeard Pirates naturally became their own. Besides, when they were young, they themselves had been under Whitebeard's protection.

Blackbeard swaggered a step forward, his grin twisted and cruel. "Zehahahahaha! Marco, Ace, and everyone—long time no see!"

Marco let out a cold snort. "I thought you wouldn't dare to show your face. Teach, since you're here, you're not leaving alive today."

Blackbeard opened his mouth to spit out a few more threats, but Marco didn't give him the chance. He raised his voice and shouted, "All members of the Phoenix Pirates, listen up! This time, it's for Pops—to avenge the brothers who died in the Marineford War! We'll use the blood of the Blackbeard pirates to honor our fallen comrades! Leave no one alive—kill them all!"

"Oh!!!!"

Tsuru said helplessly, "Now it seems the Three Emperors Alliance and the Revolutionary Army have already established contact. They met on Garbage Island to discuss something, and it's very likely they reached some kind of agreement. And on top of that, there's Vegapunk."
