Chapter 443: Activated?
An aged figure spoke, his voice echoing directly in Toneri's consciousness—peaceful yet vigorous, carrying a sense of profound distance that spanned across time and space.
Toneri recognized him; there was a giant statue of this man outside the Hamura Temple.
"An... Ancestor Hamura?!"
Toneri's voice trembled with disbelief. He instinctively wanted to bow, but he was stopped by the hand the other party gently held.
"You aren't dead? You're still here?"
The transparent figure known as "Hamura" slowly shook his head. A trace of complex emotion flickered in those sharp Byakugan—there was affection, the weariness of ages, and a faint hint of regret.
After all, the person before him was the last of the descendants he had brought to the moon.
"No, I am already dead."
Hamura's Chakra consciousness calmly stated, "What remains here is merely a wisp of Chakra consciousness I left behind back then. It exists by relying on my yearning for my mother and my obsession with guarding the Seal, waiting for descendants who might need guidance or to respond to certain changes."
He paused, his gaze turning toward the incredibly thick Seal core behind him, which exuded a suffocating and oppressive aura. His tone became more solemn, even carrying a hint of entreaty:
"Inside is my mother. I hope that you will not disturb her."
"Mother?"
Toneri's expression stiffened, and his Cyan Chakra Cloak flickered slightly due to the violent fluctuations of his emotions.
The one sealed inside was actually the mother of their revered ancestor, Otsutsuki Hamura?
In other words, she was also his ancestor.
But if he couldn't obtain more power, how could he contend with the powerful enemy?
Seeing the shock and hesitation on Toneri's face, as well as the desire for power that had not completely dissipated, Hamura's Chakra consciousness sighed softly.
He understood his descendant's predicament and his desire to become stronger, but he knew even better the unpredictable and catastrophic consequences that disturbing his mother's Seal could bring.
"I understand that you have encountered a powerful enemy and need strength."
Hamura's consciousness said slowly, his figure appearing to become even more transparent, "But I cannot let you risk contacting my mother's power. That is too dangerous, and it might not necessarily be a good thing for you."
He reached out his other transparent hand, palm upward.
A glimmer of light flashed, and an ancient scroll appeared in his hand out of thin air.
"Inside this scroll is sealed the weapon I was accustomed to using in my youth."
Hamura handed the scroll to Toneri, his eyes filled with encouragement and trust. "It accompanied me through many years of battle and growth. Although it is not as good as the Treasured Tools my elder brother created using Yin-Yang Release, it can still be considered a fine weapon. Perhaps it will be of some help to you."
He paused, his tone carrying a hint of apology and relief:
"I have nothing else left to give you. This wisp of consciousness has remained until now for the purpose of guarding and guiding. Now that I have handed it to you, my mission can be considered to have reached its final step."
Toneri reflexively took the scroll.
He looked up at Ancestor Hamura's Chakra consciousness, which was gradually becoming more transparent as if it would dissipate at any moment, and his heart was filled with mixed emotions.
There was the excitement of receiving an ancestral gift and a faint regret over not obtaining even greater power, but more than that, there was a heavy sense of responsibility and respect for his ancestor's heart of guardianship.
"Thank you for the gift, Ancestor!"
Toneri bowed his head respectfully.
Hamura's Chakra consciousness showed a faint, gratified smile.
He took one last look at Toneri, then gazed deeply at the sealed land imprisoning his mother. His figure, like a candle in the wind, slowly dissipated, turning into specks of light that merged into the surrounding rock walls and the Seal, as if he had never appeared.
Toneri gripped the ancient scroll in his hand, feeling the Chakra resonance belonging to Ancestor Hamura coming from within, and took another look at the unfathomable Seal core.
Finally, he took a deep breath, bowed slightly toward the Seal, and then turned, flying back toward the direction he came from without hesitation.
Since he couldn't borrow the power of the Old Ancestor's mother, then the weapon left by Ancestor Hamura was perhaps the aid he could rely on most right now.
He had to master it as quickly as possible and then face the approaching powerful enemy.
And inside the Seal core, Kaguya, completely unaware of everything that had just happened outside, remained quietly slumped in the darkness, immersed in her eternal, bewildered questioning about betrayal and survival.
She did not know that her son, even though he had passed away a thousand years ago, still watched over her silently in this way, preventing her from being drawn into external conflicts again and preventing her power from being misused and triggering new disasters.
If she knew, she would surely go mad.

Riding the "Heavenly River" water dragon and smashing through all Puppet defensive lines with unstoppable force, Uzumaki Naruto finally arrived at the central palace area of the moon's Otsutsuki Clan.
The palace before him was magnificent and ancient, constructed from massive white stone. Its style was solemn and dignified, merging with the surrounding ruins yet exuding an aura of aloofness that transcended the world.
There should have been many patrolling or guarding Puppets around the palace, but most had now been dispersed or destroyed by Naruto's flood, leaving only scattered wreckage and a complete mess.
Naruto stood on a cloud of golden gold dust, hovering in the air directly in front of the palace.
He looked around, the perception of his Rinnegan spreading out like an invisible spiderweb, carefully searching for the aura of the mastermind, Ōtsutsuki Toneri.
"Not coming out?"
Naruto raised an eyebrow. It didn't matter if the opponent didn't come out; he'd just use his Exclusive Skill: Flooding the Seven Armies.
He didn't need to bother searching at all.
To deal with enemies who like to hide, the simplest and most effective method is to force them out!
Naruto controlled the water dragon at his side to attack downward.
Heavenly River Downpour.
Since he couldn't find the person, he would just flood his home and see if he could continue hiding!
If one is soft-hearted when facing an enemy, they only create trouble for themselves.
Just as the water dragon was about to slam violently into the palace's exquisite outer walls and tall gates,
A cold and hurried voice suddenly rang out:
"Stop!"
At the same time the voice came, a figure appeared between Naruto and the palace like a bolt of lightning tearing through space, instantly blocking the path of the rushing water dragon.
It was exactly Ōtsutsuki Toneri!
In front of him, nine ink-black Truth-Seeking Balls appeared out of thin air and quickly rearranged themselves into a solid and massive circular shield, perfectly blocking the path of the roaring water dragon.
"BOOM!!!"
The massive flood dragon, containing terrifying kinetic energy and Chakra, slammed hard into the shield composed of the nine Truth-Seeking Balls.
An astonishing scene occurred.
The grand impact of the water dragon was steadily and almost perfectly intercepted by that seemingly thin black-gold shield.
The flood hit the shield with a deafening roar, sending water splashing everywhere, but the shield itself remained motionless, showing no sign of even being pushed back.
Not only that, but as the ultimate product of Yin-Yang Release, the Truth-Seeking Balls contained the power of creation and annihilation.
The parts of the water flow in contact with the Truth-Seeking Ball shield were actually silently dissolved and annihilated.
As if high temperature had touched ice and snow, a portion of the water dragon's core energy was directly "evaporated," causing its impact force and scale to weaken significantly.
Seeing this, Naruto's Rinnegan couldn't help but widen.
He saw the Cyan Chakra Mode surrounding Toneri's body, and he also saw those nine Truth-Seeking Balls.
"Wait, buddy, you don't even have eyes, how did you activate the Tenseigan Chakra Mode?"
"Using hacks?"
