Chapter 115 - Chapter 115: Abyss Invasion

After completing the continuation activity, players received 1,200 Primogems each time.

Just by clicking the mouse and chatting a few words with old friends, they could obtain 200 Primogems.

Players all hoped this kind of event would be rerun many times.

However, not long after the continuation activity ended, players suddenly encountered attacks from Abyss monsters in the game.

Unlike before, where players had to operate their characters to a designated location to start the plot, now as long as they were conducting activities in Natlan's wilderness, several Abyss monsters would suddenly emerge and launch attacks on the players.

"Are the Abyss monsters coming?!" After exchanging thoughts, players all had this idea.

Then, the Traveler and the others encountered Kachina and others rushing over to help.

"Traveler sister, are you alright?" Kachina brought several Natlan warriors over and asked.

"We've already dealt with the Abyss monsters. But..." Paimon paused, then said, "Wasn't it said that the Pyro Archon would always protect Natlan?"

During the battle, they had waited a long time without the Pyro Archon's arrows arriving, thinking something had happened to him.

"Now many places in Natlan have Abyss monsters appearing. The Pyro Archon needs to prioritize the most dangerous areas."

"He probably felt you didn't need help, so he didn't shoot arrows here," Kachina said.

"Many places have monsters appearing?" Paimon opened her small mouth in surprise. "Does that mean the Abyss monsters are launching a massive invasion?"

Paimon and the Traveler had constantly heard Rios and Mavuika emphasize the matter of the Abyss invasion during this period.

But afterward, they had explored Natlan for so long without any incidents occurring.

But now with Abyss monsters appearing in so many places, was it really as the two Pyro Archons said—the Abyss was launching a massive invasion?

"I'm not sure either," Kachina shook her head.

However, the number of monsters this time was indeed much greater than before; perhaps it really was as the Pyro Archon said—the Abyss monsters were coming for a decisive battle with them.

"Now the warriors stationed in the wilderness are rushing everywhere to save people. Traveler sister, you all be careful too."

"Mm, we'll definitely pay attention to safety," Paimon nodded.

The Traveler paused, then said: "Are there any places that need support now?"

Kachina shook her head: "We're not too clear either. Now it seems like Abyss monsters appear everywhere; possibly every place needs support."

But for the most dangerous places, the Pyro Archon would definitely issue warnings.

After discussing with Kachina, the Traveler and the others decided to split up anyway—it would be more efficient that way.

After passing this plot segment, dozens of special icons appeared on the players' maps.

Each icon represented that Abyss monsters had appeared in that location.

Players could freely choose a place and quickly arrive there without using a Teleport Waypoint.

Upon arrival, they could immediately engage in battle with the Abyss monsters there.

"Don't be afraid, everyone—bring out what you've trained daily; these Abyss monsters are no match for us!"

Every time the Traveler and the others arrived, they found the Natlan people there had already formed up.

Through tactical maneuvers and powerful weapons, they suppressed the endless stream of Abyss monsters.

And with the power of defensive towers and other defensive measures, the massive horde of Abyss monsters was unexpectedly beaten back by the Natlan people.

After eliminating the monsters there, when players reopened the map, they would see that the icons on the map had changed.

Some icons had disappeared, representing that the monsters there had been eliminated by the Natlan people.

But new icons would appear in some regions, representing that Abyss monsters had appeared there again.

"How long will it take to finish all this?" Paimon, following the Traveler everywhere, said anxiously.

"I don't know," the Traveler said. "This is Natlan's war with the Abyss monsters. It might end within one day, or it might last for years."

"Years?!" Paimon couldn't help but exclaim.

If it dragged on for years without a victor, even with the Natlan people's courage and combat prowess, they would probably be swallowed by the Abyss's tides, right?

During the dialogue, the Traveler and Paimon unknowingly arrived at the Scions of the Canopy's tribe.

There, they saw Kinich leading the tribe's warriors in resisting the Abyss.

Kinich swung his greatsword, and green flames surged like a heatwave, engulfing the Abyss monsters.

After the flames passed, only charred remains were left.

"Traveler, are you here for support?" Due to the urgency, Kinich didn't say much.

"I can hold here. If you want to provide support, go to the Stadium of the Sacred Flame."

"Isn't the Pyro Archon and Mavuika guarding there?" Paimon asked strangely.

"The safest place should definitely be the Stadium of the Sacred Flame, right?"

"Exactly, so many people are rushing to the Stadium of the Sacred Flame for refuge now," Kinich said.

"But the Abyss monsters know this too. The Scions of the Canopy's messengers discovered the monsters heading toward the Stadium of the Sacred Flame."

"Though the Pyro Archon is there, he still has to split his attention to support other places. If you go, it can lighten his burden."

"Alright, we'll head there now."

At first, the Traveler and the others thought the monsters at the Stadium of the Sacred Flame were just slightly more numerous.

But when they actually rushed to the arena, they discovered the monsters' numbers were too vast to count, nearly filling the surrounding regions completely.

Rios, as the Pyro Archon, floated in the air. He gazed into the distance, firing arrows there, seemingly supporting that location.

After firing, he opened his palm toward the Abyss monsters on the ground.

Immediately, massive fireballs descended from the sky, blasting those Abyss monsters to not even ashes.

"Does this place really need support?" Paimon blinked, momentarily at a loss.

Whether from the monsters' numbers or the Pyro Archon's performance, it seemed to say their power was insignificant; even acting might not change the battle situation at all.

"Now's not the time for that." The Traveler didn't think too much about it. She keenly observed the massive amount of Pyro elements lingering in the area.

Thus, she mobilized the Anemo power within her body, releasing a sharp and powerful tornado.

The moment the tornado was released, the Pyro elements lingering on the surface fused with it, transforming into a massive fire tornado that sucked the Abyss monsters into it and burned them to oblivion.

By merely using a bit of Anemo power, she eliminated a sea of Abyss monsters.

But compared to the number of monsters on site, this kill efficiency was still far too slow.
