My heart plunged straight into a freezing abyss. Her body went completely weightless in Damien's arms, her dark eyelashes sweeping shut as the color drained from her face for the second time in less than an hour.
The newly formed mate bond inside my chest flared with a sickening, violent panic, sending a harsh shockwave through my entire nervous system.
