Chapter 111 - Chapter 111: Clara's Half Dark Side

"Is something troubling you, Goddess?"

Hanuman's calm voice broke the silence.

Siya remained still for a moment before speaking.

"My Lord..."

"Wasn't the purpose of my life to protect this world?"

A faint sadness crossed her face.

"And yet..."

"I failed."

Hanuman smiled gently.

"No, Goddess."

"That was never your purpose."

Siya looked at him, surprised.

Hanuman continued.

"Your father never entrusted you with the responsibility of saving the world."

"Your duty was only to observe."

"To watch."

"To guide."

"Nothing more."

Siya fell silent.

"Then..."

"Are you saying..."

"...that I chose this purpose myself?"

Hanuman nodded.

"Every soul has the right to choose how it lives."

"No one owns another's destiny."

"Every person is free to decide what meaning they give to their own life."

His voice carried neither judgment nor praise.

"You could have lived a quiet life."

"You still can."

"Even without divine powers..."

"...your presence alone draws hope toward itself."

"Your compassion..."

"Your sincerity..."

"Your unwavering faith..."

"Those are your greatest strengths."

"You have always possessed a light that others naturally follow."

A faint smile appeared on Siya's lips.

"Are you trying to comfort me, Lord?"

Hanuman laughed softly.

"You don't need sympathy, Goddess."

"I'm simply reminding you..."

"...of the strength you've always carried within yourself."

Siya lowered her head respectfully.

"Thank you, Son of Kesari."

"Your words always give me the strength I fail to find on my own."

"I don't think I'll allow myself to lose focus again."

Before Hanuman could reply—

Footsteps echoed through the cave.

Andy rushed inside.

"Siya!"

"Clara has regained consciousness!"

Without wasting another second, Siya hurried toward Clara's room.

The moment Siya entered...

her eyes met Clara's.

At first glance...

she looked exactly the same.

The same face.

The same gentle features.

The same familiar smile.

But...

something was wrong.

Very wrong.

The innocence that once lived inside that smile...

was gone.

Hidden beneath it...

was something colder.

Something calculating.

Something... sinister.

No one else seemed to notice.

Only Siya felt it.

Has Clara truly changed...

...or am I allowing suspicion to cloud my judgment?

For the first time...

even Siya couldn't distinguish intuition from doubt.

She walked closer.

Her expression became serious.

"Everyone..."

"Leave."

"I need to speak with Clara alone."

Clara slowly raised her eyes toward Siya.

Her gaze was unnaturally sharp.

Andy frowned.

"But Siya—"

"What's wr—"

"I said..."

"Leave."

Her tone left no room for argument.

Andy looked confused.

Before he could object again...

Ali quietly gestured for everyone to step outside.

Reluctantly...

they left the room.

The door closed.

Silence.

Only Siya and Clara remained.

Clara smiled.

"What happened, Siya?"

"You seem troubled."

Siya returned a weary smile.

"Life plays strange games, Clara."

"Sometimes..."

"...it wounds you."

"And sometimes..."

"...it forces you to watch the people you love suffer instead."

She lowered her eyes.

"It's an exhausting journey."

"But do you know when a person feels truly exhausted?"

Clara remained silent.

"When those they love are attacked..."

"...or when those same people strike from behind."

Clara narrowed her eyes.

"What are you trying to say?"

Siya looked directly into her eyes.

"What are you hiding, Clara?"

"Why?"

"What happened to you?"

A long silence followed.

Then Siya whispered,

"Has He..."

"...consumed all the goodness within you?"

For a heartbeat...

nothing happened.

Then—

Clara burst into laughter.

A loud...

unnatural...

echoing laugh.

"Oh, Siya..."

"You figured it out much sooner than I expected."

Her smile widened into something monstrous.

"I did try to consume her completely."

"But..."

"I failed."

"I've only managed to possess half of her."

"For now..."

"I can control only one half of this body."

A cruel grin spread across her face.

"But her goodness..."

"It keeps resisting me."

"It prevents me from committing the evil I desire."

"No matter how hard I try..."

"I still haven't defeated her."

Siya remained perfectly calm.

"I knew you'd try to manipulate me."

"You'll say anything to deceive me."

"But I trust Clara."

The smile vanished instantly.

Then—

Another voice emerged.

Weak.

Broken.

Terrified.

"Siya..."

It was Clara.

The real Clara.

"Kill me."

Tears streamed down her face.

"If he completely takes over..."

"I don't know how many innocent lives I'll destroy."

"I'd rather die..."

"...than become his weapon."

She folded her trembling hands.

"Please..."

"End this."

"If you kill me..."

"...this darkness inside me will die with me."

Siya's eyes filled with pain.

"I can't do that, Clara."

"You can."

Clara's voice shook violently.

"I'm begging you."

"Please."

"Free me from this curse."

"Look into my eyes."

She stepped closer.

"Do you see any fear of death?"

"No."

"I'm not afraid."

"I'm afraid..."

"...of surviving."

She smiled through her tears.

"Please..."

"Set me free."

The room fell silent.

Siya couldn't move.

She understood the truth.

Clara had become a living prison.

A vessel carrying a darkness capable of consuming everything around it.

A ticking catastrophe...

waiting for the moment it was fully awakened.

Her trembling fingers slowly reached toward the dagger lying beside the table.

She picked it up.

Its cold blade reflected both their faces.

Clara smiled.

For the first time since awakening...

there was peace in her expression.

Relief.

Acceptance.

Almost...

gratitude.

And Siya stood frozen—

Holding the weapon...

Knowing that whatever choice she made next...

would change both of their destinies forever.
