Lightning from every direction converged on Enel's body inside the crater.
BZZZT—
In an instant, his form swelled and twisted into a writhing mass of electric arcs. The arcs condensed into a towering thunder giant—muscles replaced by surging bolts of lightning, blue plasma crawling across his skin. His headband and long hair vanished, replaced by a floating crown of crackling thunder.
In his left hand: a lightning-formed war drum.
In his right: the golden staff, reshaped by Metallurgy into a massive trident.
His entire appearance was identical to the Japanese god of thunder—Take-Mikazuchi.
"You wretched mortals! Behold the true form of God!"
In his Raijin state, Enel spread his arms wide, aura overwhelming. "I am lightning itself!"
"I was going to spare the four of you," Enel said, eyes cold as he looked down at Uvogin and the others. "But you've chosen death."
He shook his head. "God is always lonely."
Instant Teleport.
His massive body turned into a savage bolt of lightning and reappeared right in front of the four. The war drum in his left hand transformed into a divine palm and slammed downward—
100 Million Volts: Discharge!
"Vanish into nothingness beneath my lightning!"
The four Troupe members' faces twisted in shock. They were frozen in place, completely unable to react to an attack moving at the speed of lightning.
They had only possessed their Devil Fruit powers for a short time. Their development was still too shallow.
The absolute gap in speed was on full display.
The blue lightning palm came crashing down—
But Enel's face suddenly filled with shock. For the first time in this long battle, something had completely escaped his prediction.
The four figures beneath his palm vanished in a blink, replaced by a black-haired, black-eyed man in a black coat.
"Handy, isn't it~? As long as I'm inside the alternate dimension behind my doors, your Heart Net can't sense me and can't predict my moves ahead of time."
Chrollo looked up, one eyebrow slightly raised, a faint smile on his lips as he met Enel's gaze. "How could I let you hurt my precious crew~?"
THUD—
A heavy impact rang through the sky. Enel never even caught Chrollo's movement. The Armament-coated fist had already slammed into his lightning body without warning.
Then…
The colossal giant was blasted backward as a streak of lightning, coughing up blood. The gap in pure physical technique was now painfully obvious.
The difference in their base stats was simply too vast. As long as Enel's Heart Net couldn't read Chrollo, he couldn't dodge a single attack.
Watching Enel fly backward, Chrollo's smile deepened. An Air Door appeared in front of him. He stepped through and vanished again.
Enel halted his backward flight and floated in mid-air, eyes darting around warily. "Where are you?!"
"Damn it! Where the hell are you?!"
While he was looking left and right, a small door materialized right beside his head. A pitch-black arm shot out, fist descending.
He tried to turn—but it was too late.
BANG!
His head snapped sideways, eyes rolling back. Enel was sent flying again!
Chrollo's figure flickered like a ghost, reappearing on Enel's flight path every time. Door open—brutal punch. Door open—brutal punch. Their bodies streaked across the sky, stirring up storm clouds as they went.
Uvogin and the other three had already been swapped back beside Bonney. They looked up at the scene in awe.
"As expected of the Captain," Uvogin sighed, genuinely impressed. "He's already stomping someone at this level."
Phinks stared at Chrollo's domineering beatdown with open envy.
Nobunaga turned to Bonney, curious. "Did the Captain borrow your ability?"
Bonney shook her head, still dazed. "Nope…"
She stared at Chrollo too. This man's strength was already unfathomable. Even without his endless bag of stolen abilities, his pure hand-to-hand combat was enough to bully a Rumble-Rumble Fruit user.
"He got even stronger again… Wait, why did I say 'again'?"
Back in the sky battlefield.
Lightning Wolf Fang Roar!
Enel released a powerful wave of electricity around himself. A massive wolf phantom howled at the heavens, sending a devastating shockwave rippling outward.
He knew he couldn't keep taking this. He tried to blast Chrollo away and create distance.
[Silence · Dustless Land]
But Chrollo's domain activated. Every electric arc that reached him instantly vanished. He walked straight through the shockwave, opened another door, and threw another punch!
"Damn you—"
BANG! Sent flying again.
"I am—"
BANG! Sent flying again.
"—a God!"
Ten Thousand Thunders—
Raigo!!!
The thunderstorm above all of Upper Yard grew even more violent. Dozens, then hundreds of gigantic lightning bolts rained down, each one stronger than the last.
Enel unleashed indiscriminate lightning strikes across the entire holy land!
The whole island began to tremble, crack, and break apart under the terrifying power.
"A force capable of destroying an entire island—this fruit really is royal-tier!" Chrollo watched the destruction with delight rather than fear.
The raging lightning condensed into a colossal dark sphere filled with swirling wind and electricity, hovering directly above Chrollo's head.
200 Million Volts: Thunder Dragon—
The sphere twisted and elongated, transforming into a massive blue lightning dragon that coiled across the entire sky above the island. Its head emerged from the thunderclouds, roaring down at Chrollo with the majesty of heaven itself.
The earth was pierced. Raigo exploded in the White Sea, carving out a gigantic crater.
At the critical moment, Chrollo remained perfectly calm.
[Instant Displacement]
He swapped positions with Enel.
Then…
In Enel's shocked eyes, the Thunder Dragon he had just released came roaring straight toward him.
RUMBLE-RUMBLE—
Lightning naturally couldn't harm Enel, the Rumble-Rumble Fruit user himself, but the sheer overwhelming presence still made him flinch!
The dragon slammed into his body and merged back into his own power. Enel was about to look up and sneer, "Pathetic trick. Did you really think something like that could defeat a god—"
What greeted him instead…
…was a punch from Chrollo with even greater force!
Chrollo had already stepped through an Air Door to appear right in front of him. His right hand transformed into a blade under the Quick-Slash Fruit, Armament Haki coating it pitch-black, forging a true [Black Blade].
SHING—
RIP—
Lightning was sliced apart. Accompanied by the grinding sound of a blade cutting flesh, a fountain of blood sprayed out.
A deep, bone-revealing diagonal gash tore across Enel's chest. His expression filled with horror.
Chrollo hovered in mid-air with Moon Step, looking down as the lightning scattered and Enel fell back into human form, plummeting from the sky. The corner of his mouth curled in a half-smile.
"God?"
"Do gods bleed too?"
