Chapter 19 - THE FIRST FACTION DUEL

The stone arena fell silent.

Hundreds of eyes locked onto the two figures standing at its center.

Ryan drew a slow breath, feet steady against the cold ground. Across from him stood the Crimson Hollow representative—a tall man with narrow eyes and a cruel smile.

"Try not to die too quickly," the man said lightly.

Ryan didn't reply.

The gong struck.

Opening Exchange

The Crimson Hollow warrior moved first.

His body surged forward in a blur, crimson energy flaring violently around his fists. He struck without warning—fast, brutal, reckless.

Ryan stepped back, energy coating his arms and torso.

Bang! Bang!

Each blow landed—but felt muted.

Ryan absorbed the force, redirecting it through his stance.

Too much output, Ryan observed calmly. No control.

The opponent frowned.

Testing Resolve

The man growled and increased his output, crimson energy roaring like flames.

The ground cracked beneath his feet.

Ryan felt pressure push against his coating—but it held.

"You're holding back," the man sneered."Afraid?"

Ryan's eyes narrowed slightly.

"No," he said quietly."I'm waiting."

The Turning Point

The Crimson Hollow warrior lunged again, throwing everything into a single devastating strike.

Ryan moved.

He shifted inside the attack—not away.

Energy flowed smoothly from his core to his palm.

Not sharp.

Not explosive.

Precise.

His strike landed against the man's ribs.

The impact didn't send him flying.

Instead, the crimson energy collapsed inward.

The warrior staggered, choking.

"What did you—"

Ryan followed with a controlled sweep, knocking him off balance.

The man crashed to the ground, gasping.

Victory Without Blood

Ryan stood over him, energy steady.

"Yield," Ryan said calmly.

The man trembled.

For the first time, fear replaced arrogance.

"I—yield."

The gong rang.

Aftermath

The arena erupted into murmurs.

"Level 3… but that control…"

"He neutralized energy instead of overpowering it."

Bayu exhaled slowly.

"Well done," he said under his breath.

Sophie smiled—proud, but tense.

The Crimson Hollow leader's expression darkened.

"This isn't over," he muttered.

Ryan stepped away from the fallen opponent.

He felt no triumph.

Only clarity.

A New Reputation

That night, whispers spread through the martial world.

A new name circulated quietly:

The Calm Heir of Cakra Sakti.

Ryan looked up at the night sky.

This victory had opened a door.

And behind it—

Greater conflicts waited.
