The blow tore away half of the corpse's face, exposing disgusting white rotting flesh, with worms writhing inside.
"Urgh…"
The thought of sharing the same lake with monsters nearly made Phield throw up.
"Don't get distracted!" Rosalia immediately warned him in his ear.
"Don't worry."
Phield might have been gagging, but his movements were still fast. He grabbed the aquatic corpse and pulled it toward him, driving his rapier straight through its skull.
More aquatic corpses surged toward him, and Phield cut down seven or eight in rapid succession.
Even more aquatic corpses closed in from all sides. Phield simply could not deal with them all. He immediately switched the rapier to his left hand and thrust forward with all his strength.
"Gurgle~"
Two bubbles escaped as the rapier pierced straight through the corpse's eye socket.
