Chapter 83 - CHAPTER 83

Biscuit Krueger.

A Double-Star Stone Hunter.

At first glance, she looked like a delicate, cute girl no older than thirteen a blonde "loli" with sparkling eyes and soft features. But anyone who truly understood Nen, or had sharp instincts like Rimo, would never be fooled by appearances.

Because beneath that childish exterior… was a seasoned master.

In reality, Biscuit was already in her forties, and her true form was that of a heavily trained martial artist, with a physique refined through decades of brutal discipline. Her transformation ability, which allowed her to maintain her youthful appearance, was itself proof of her deep mastery over Nen far beyond ordinary users.

More importantly

She was a teacher.

A true Nen instructor.

Unlike the crude "awakening through force" method used by people like Wing during the Heavens Arena arc, or the dangerous baptism that Gon and Killua experienced, Biscuit's teaching style was systematic, precise, and terrifyingly efficient. She could break down complex Nen principles into stages, guide students through foundational control, and forcibly correct bad habits before they became fatal weaknesses.

In terms of pure understanding of Nen…

She stood near the peak.

Perhaps only someone like Isaac Netero who had reached enlightenment through decades of ascetic training could surpass her in that regard.

And right now

That was exactly what Rimo lacked.

Not power.

But understanding.

"I can't tell… you're young, but quite capable."

Biscuit narrowed her eyes slightly as she observed Rimo. Even while speaking, her hands moved naturally, her aura condensing and flowing with precision.

With a casual motion, she enhanced her hands and struck forward.

"Chi !"

Several of the black, writhing roots that had been frozen in place by Rimo's [Unlimited Technique] were instantly severed.

The moment they were cut

They let out shrill, unnatural cries.

Almost like living creatures.

"Humph! Of course! Nion's master is the strongest!"

Nion puffed out her chest proudly from Rimo's arms, completely ignoring the danger around them.

Biscuit's eyebrow twitched slightly.

"Master?" She glanced at Rimo from head to toe, her gaze sharp. "With your aura control? Don't joke around. Your Ten isn't even stable. You only just learned Nen, didn't you?"

Her words were blunt.

Too blunt.

 Rimo's expression darkened slightly.

She wasn't wrong.

Because of the explosive growth of his aura far beyond what a normal Nen user should possess his control was indeed rough. His Ren overflowed constantly, and while his raw output surpassed most fighters, his fundamentals were… incomplete.

Still

Being called out like that directly?

Annoying.

Before Rimo could respond, Nion spoke again, indignant:

"What are you saying?! Master is very strong! He even beat a bad guy a few days ago!"

"Bad guy?" Biscuit tilted her head slightly. "Don't tell me…"

"Someone from the Zoldyck family?"

Her tone became slightly more serious.

"Which one? One of the younger ones? The eldest son who uses needles?"

" Silva Zoldyck."

Rimo finally spoke, his tone calm but carrying a faint edge.

"…The head of the family."

"..."

For the first time

Biscuit paused.

Her eyes widened slightly.

"Silva… Zoldyck?"

She stared at Rimo again, this time not with dismissal but with scrutiny.

Then

Before she could respond

"SHH !!"

Dozens of black roots suddenly burst out from the ground again, more aggressive than before, all targeting Rimo directly.

This time

There was no doubt.

They were hunting him.

"Om !"

Space distorted slightly around Rimo.

The invisible barrier of the [Unlimited Technique] activated instantly.

Every root that approached him slowed

Then stopped

Suspended midair, unable to advance even a centimeter further.

"…Persistent."

 Rimo frowned slightly.

With a flick of his will, the direction vectors of the roots were distorted. They twisted violently, colliding with each other, tangling into a chaotic mass.

Still

More kept coming.

Endless.

"It's useless."

Biscuit crossed her arms lightly.

"Using En won't help you find it."

Rimo had already expanded his [En], his aura spreading across a wide radius but just as Biscuit said

There was nothing abnormal.

No core.

No central presence.

Only roots.

Everywhere.

"'It' has already fused with the mountain itself," Biscuit continued calmly. "What you're dealing with isn't just a creature. It's closer to a phenomenon created by Nen after death… something like a curse."

Her eyes sharpened slightly.

"If you don't destroy the core, it won't stop."

Then

Her gaze shifted back to Rimo.

And lingered.

"…Strange."

"Very strange."

She circled him slowly.

"Why is it so fixated on you?"

 Rimo already had a guess.

His aura.

Too dense.

Too alive.

Too… tempting.

If this thing fed on life force

Then to it

 Rimo wasn't prey.

He was a feast.

Biscuit suddenly clapped her hands once.

"I get it."

She pointed at him.

"You."

"Help me lure it out."

 Rimo raised an eyebrow.

"And in return?"

"My target is the Sky Gem," Biscuit said directly. "One of the Seven Beautiful Colors. I don't care about anything else."

Her gaze was sharp.

"So what about you?"

"If your goal is the same, we'll have a problem."

 Rimo shrugged slightly.

"I'm not interested in gems."

"Then why are you here?"

"…Adventure."

He adjusted Nion slightly in his arms.

"And her."

Biscuit stared at him for a few seconds.

Then

"…You're insane."

She rubbed her forehead.

"Bringing a child into a place like this… even if you're strong, Nen after death isn't something you can brute-force your way through."

 Rimo smirked slightly.

"Then teach me."

"…What?"

"You teach me Nen properly," Rimo said calmly. "I help you find the core."

"Simple."

Biscuit narrowed her eyes.

"…You're adding conditions."

"Of course."

"And her too," Rimo added, nodding at Nion. "You teach her as well."

"HEY!"

Biscuit snapped instantly.

"That's not a small request!"

"That gem you want isn't common either."

Rimo's tone was casual but precise.

Biscuit clenched her fist.

Veins bulged slightly.

"…Fine."

She turned her head away, biting her lip.

"…Deal."

"Good."

 Rimo extended his hand.

Biscuit hesitated for a fraction of a second

Then shook it.

"…Deal."

"Now listen carefully," Biscuit said, regaining her composure.

"You don't need to fight it directly."

"You just need to move."

"Circle the mountain. Keep drawing its attention."

"The closer you get to the core, the more violently it will react."

Her eyes gleamed.

"And I'll track the pattern."

"Once I find it "

"We end it."

 Rimo nodded slightly.

"…Sounds reasonable."

Then he smiled faintly.

"Try to keep up."

Biscuit scoffed.

"…Just don't die before I get what I want."

And just like that

A temporary alliance was formed.

Between a monster with overwhelming aura

And a master who understood Nen to its core.

Somewhere deep within Helian Mountain

The roots trembled.

As if…

Something had noticed.

And was beginning to wake.
