Chapter 77 - CHAPTER 77

No matter which world you are in, power is the root of everything.

In the Hunter × Hunter world, Nen is not just strengthit is life force shaped by will, as Wing once explained during Gon and Killua's early training in Heaven's Arena. Those who master it can transcend human limits, while those who rely on tricks or assumptions die without ever understanding what killed them.

For Rimo, however, power had become something simpler.

Just show overwhelming strength, crush everything in front of you, and let the world adjust itself afterward.

If necessary, he would even outsource the cleanup just like how underworld families in Hunter × Hunter often delegate assassinations through licensed killer organizations like the Zoldyck Family.

And if the next target's employer was foolish enough to escalate?

Then Rimo would simply escalate back.

That was the logic forming in his mind as anger began replacing rational analysis.

Because now

Silva Zoldyck was his only thought.

"Puff !"A sound like air bursting through flesh echoed.

An arm spun through the air in a slow, unnatural arc.

Blood sprayed across the broken corridor of Villa No. 21 in Chencora Point.

Silva Zoldyck immediately retreated, his expression unchanged but his instincts fully active, the disciplined calm of a top assassin trained under Zeno Zoldyck and the Kukulu Mountain doctrine of lethal precision.

His left arm had been severed.

Cleanly.

At the same time, the Nen projectile Silva had launched condensed **Ren into destructive emission orbs similar in principle to a weaker version of Ryu-enhanced aura blasts **slammed into the villa wall.

BOOM !!!

The entire structure shook violently.

Concrete shattered outward like glass.

The explosion echoed across all of Chencora Point, waking every nearby resident and every Nosla guard stationed in perimeter Zetsu formations.

"Explosion?!"

"It came from the boss's villa!"

"Enemies?! Everyone gear up!"

Chaos erupted immediately.

The Nosla family's security network expanded under Adam's restructuring responded like a trained Mafia syndicate straight out of Yorknew underworld operations. Guns were armed, Nen users entered Ten, and patrol units began converging.

But none of that mattered inside the room.

Silva narrowed his eyes.

"Good… I landed a hit on the head just now," Rimo said coldly.

Silva didn't respond.

He already understood what had happened.

At the last moment, he had read Rimo's aura flow using basic En awareness, deducing that most of Rimo's aura was concentrated in his hands.

A beginner's flaw.

A gap in Nen fundamentals.

So Silva adjusted mid-assault using Zoldyck assassination principles: strike first, adjust second, confirm kill always.

He kicked Rimo's torso mid-teleport shift, redirecting the fatal angle.

Result:

Arm lost.

But Silva's thoughts were not relief.

It was analysis.

"He is not refined… but his output is monstrous."

Even without polished Nen control like a Heaven's Arena floor master or a Phantom Troupe combatant, Rimo's aura density was abnormal.

Comparable, if not exceeding, elite transmuters or emitters.

Silva exhaled slightly.

Too dangerous.

Without hesitation, Silva kicked off the ground.

Using Zetsu to suppress presence and burst-step assassination footwork derived from Zoldyck Silent Step training, he vanished into the broken smoke cloud, retreating toward Ilumi's location.

Rimo simply watched him.

Then smiled.

"Trying to run?"

He activated En instantly.

A 200-meter radius of overwhelming aura spread out like a domain of pressure.

Every insect, every guard, every vibration in the villa grounds became visible in his mind.

And there

Silva's aura signature.

Rimo flicked his wrist.

A black kunai appeared.

Not conjured from Nen.

A physical medium.

A tool.

Silva noticed instantly.

Weapon? Throwing knife?

He extended En.

No Nen fluctuation suggesting projectile specialization.

Strange.

But the next second

WHITE FLASH.

Rimo vanished.

Silva's eyes widened slightly.

Space displacement?!

Not Shunshin.

Not speed.

Not In-based concealment.

Something closer to instantaneous positional transfer functionally similar to a forced spatial relocation technique, far beyond normal Nen movement categories.

Silva twisted mid-air.

A Zoldyck emergency evasion technique bone flexibility and muscle torque control developed through assassination conditioning.

He narrowly avoided the strike.

A few strands of silver hair fell.

Silva landed lightly.

His expression finally shifted.

"This is not Nen movement speed…"

"It is spatial relocation."

Back at the center of destruction, Rimo appeared again.

He looked at Silva calmly.

Then at the battlefield.

Then toward the lower floors.

Below

Ilumi Zoldyck was slaughtering Nosla guards.

Efficient.

Emotionless.

Like a younger version of Silva but already closer to completion as an assassin.

Bart and Adam were rushing in.

Silva clicked his tongue internally.

Retreat is impossible while Ilumi is exposed.

Then Rimo spoke again.

"You came here planning extraction, right?"

Silva said nothing.

But his silence confirmed it.

Rimo smiled slightly.

"You Zoldycks really are predictable."

Silva narrowed his eyes.

Then spoke for the first time in full analysis mode:

"Your ability… is not simple emission."

"You are either a Transmuter or a Specialist."

"Your spatial movement has no visible aura trail. Your attacks ignore distance constraints. And your earlier 'revival' either manipulation or substitution-type Hatsu."

Silva paused.

Then added:

"But you are inexperienced."

Rimo raised an eyebrow.

"Oh?"

Silva continued.

"A true Nen master would not waste movement like this."

"You rely on overwhelming output, not efficiency."

"That means your fundamentals are incomplete."

For a moment, Rimo laughed.

Then slowly raised his hand.

And in it

Another kunai appeared.

Silva's eyes narrowed.

Again… that tool.

Rimo spoke casually:

"You've been analyzing me for a while now."

"But I also analyzed you."

Silva's aura sharpened.

Rimo flicked his wrist.

"Now… do you still think I only use Nen in one category?"

WHITE FLASH.

Silva moved instantly Zetsu burst step

But Rimo was already above him.

Leg raised.

Nen condensed.

Impact forming.

Silva finally realized:

This was not a fight about categories.

This was about absolute output superiority combined with unknown mechanics.

And in Hunter × Hunter terms

That was the most dangerous type of enemy.

The kind even experienced Hunters like Morel or Knuckle would classify as:

"Unpredictable, high-output Specialist-type anomaly."

Silva tightened his stance.

For the first time

He prepared to call reinforcements.

Because now he understood one thing clearly:

This mission was no longer assassination.

It was survival.
