Lindbergh looked completely defeated, his head lowered with no intention of responding to Teach's words.
Seeing that Lindbergh had lost all will to fight, Teach grinned and suddenly turned toward Kildeo and the others.
"I don't see any problems now, do I? From this moment on, you are my subordinates! Zehahaha!"
With Lindbergh, a key combatant, no longer resisting, the remaining Revolutionary Army cadres had no real way to threaten Teach. Anyone who showed signs of resisting was quickly restrained by Kildeo.
Kildeo glanced at Lindbergh once more before letting out a deep sigh. This time, everything had truly fallen apart.
If they refused to submit to the Blackbeard Pirates, then this would be the end of the Revolutionary Army.
Burgess carried Chiffon and rushed over to Teach. At that moment, Teach had lost all of his previous dominance. He fumbled as he helped Chiffon down from Burgess's shoulder.
Chiffon placed one hand on her neck and the other on her stomach, leaning into Teach as she softly called, "Husband."
Seeing her like that, Teach immediately shouted in a rough voice,
"Doctor! Get me a doctor now!"
Doc Q slowly approached on his frail horse, swaying with each step. Laffitte grabbed the horse's tail and stopped him.
"Doc Q, you should stay. The Captain needs a proper doctor right now."
Doc Q nodded faintly, murmured an acknowledgment, then slumped lifelessly over his horse again, nearly causing it to collapse.
Kildeo, worried that Teach might suddenly lash out again, quickly ordered someone to fetch a military doctor.
Teach held Chiffon tightly and asked anxiously,
"Wife, how are you feeling?"
Chiffon shook her head weakly.
"Don't worry, Husband. I'm fine. Just a bit anemic… and my stomach…"
Teach's eyes widened instantly. He pressed his face against her stomach and asked urgently,
"Your stomach? What about your stomach?!"
Before Chiffon could answer, a military doctor and several nurses rushed over.
Teach immediately ordered the doctor to treat her.
The doctor wiped the sweat from his forehead and carefully treated the wound on Chiffon's neck to stop the bleeding. Following Teach's instructions, he took out a stethoscope and listened to her stomach.
After a moment, he put the stethoscope away and spoke,
"Sir, based on my initial examination, your wife's injuries are not serious, and neither is the baby. She only needs a few days of proper rest to recover."
The moment those words were spoken, Kildeo and the others were stunned.
Chiffon was pregnant.
She had been pregnant for about half a year, but due to her build, it had not been obvious.
Lindbergh lowered his head even further. At this moment, if Teach wanted to deal with him, it would be effortless. Yet Teach made no move.
Teach was a man driven by results. Since Chiffon and the child were safe, there was no benefit in pursuing Lindbergh further.
Of course, not everyone would receive such leniency. The only reason Lindbergh was spared was because Teach saw his value. He needed talent, and Lindbergh was both a strong fighter and a skilled inventor.
The nurses helped Chiffon to her feet. She looked at Teach and said softly,
"Husband, don't worry about me. Go take care of your matters."
Teach nodded.
Then, in an instant, his expression changed completely.
The concern vanished, replaced by the same arrogance he had when he first arrived on the island.
He already saw himself as the one in control of the Revolutionary Army.
Kildeo and the others burned with anger, but none of them dared to speak.
Teach looked at Burgess and smirked.
"Hey Burgess! How about becoming the commander of the East Army?"
Burgess blinked in confusion and pointed at himself.
"Commander of the East Army? Me?"
Teach laughed loudly and slapped his shoulder.
"That's right! But we won't use that title anymore. From now on, it's Division Commander! I declare that the Four Army Commanders are now the Four Division Commanders!"
Since the Blackbeard Pirates were taking over, not joining, there was no reason to keep the Revolutionary Army's structure.
Ignoring the furious stares around him, Teach continued assigning roles.
"Laffitte, you can fly, so you'll be the First Division Commander."
Laffitte tipped his hat and bowed gracefully.
Van Augur and Doc Q were also assigned positions, becoming the Third and Fourth Division Commanders.
The four original members of Teach's crew had filled all the key positions.
Then Teach turned his gaze toward Lindbergh.
"Lindbergh, how about becoming my First Mate?"
Lindbergh gave a slow nod, his expression empty, as if he barely processed the words.
Teach smiled slightly.
Keeping someone like Lindbergh close was the best way to control him.
Even in its weakened state, the Revolutionary Army still had vast manpower and influence. To Teach, they were useful as a shield, a force to draw the Navy's attention.
The presence of the World Government was like a massive weight pressing down on all pirates. For someone as ambitious as Teach, that pressure was even greater.
Using the Revolutionary Army as cover would give him time to grow stronger.
Thinking about how close he was to achieving his ambitions, Teach threw his head back and laughed wildly.
But as he laughed, something caught his attention.
Not far away, Van Augur adjusted his monocular and stared into the sky with a puzzled expression.
Through the clouds, he could faintly make out a figure, flailing its arms and legs as it fell.
