Kaido lifted his head and stared into the sky, his sharp eyes locking onto a warship suspended above the horizon.
On the deck, Admiral Sakazuki slowly lowered his arms, the molten heat around his fists gradually fading as the magma cooled. Lloyd turned his gaze toward Donquixote Doflamingo, and without needing words, Doflamingo understood. He immediately activated his ability, guiding the warship downward.
Below, the ruined landscape of Onigashima stretched out in devastation. The scorched earth and shattered terrain only fueled Kaido's fury further.
He let out a thunderous roar and launched himself upward like a cannonball, his massive body expanding mid-flight. In an instant, he transformed into a colossal dragon that stretched across the sky. Heat gathered in his jaws before erupting outward, painting the heavens in blazing red.
Admiral Kuzan moved at once. He leaped from the warship, his arm already transformed into ice as he extended it forward.
"Ice Pheasant!"
A massive ice bird surged forward, far larger and more imposing than anything seen before. Lloyd watched calmly, recalling a similar clash he had once seen. Compared to this, that earlier version had been insignificant.
Boom!
The ice bird collided head-on with Kaido's blazing breath. Steam exploded outward, engulfing the sky in a dense cloud. In the end, both attacks dissolved into nothingness.
Kuzan flipped in mid-air and landed back on the warship with ease.
At that moment, several artificial Devil Fruit users with flight abilities surrounded the ship. Among them, a bat-like user drew his bow and released arrows coated in Haki.
As the arrows flew, he emitted a sharp sound wave. The arrows scattered within the vibration, shifting unpredictably as they shot toward Sakazuki and the others.
Aramaki stepped forward, already eager to crush them, but Lloyd raised a hand slightly, stopping him.
Without moving further, Lloyd parted his lips.
A subtle vibration spread through the air.
Every incoming arrow shattered instantly, reduced to fragments before they could reach the deck.
Lloyd's gaze shifted toward the bat-like user in the distance.
The man froze in shock. His enhanced hearing told him clearly that a sound wave had destroyed his attack. Confusion filled his mind. Was there another bat-type user on that ship?
He strained his vision, but his sight could not match his hearing. Even now, he could not clearly make out who stood at the center of the warship.
Before he could react further, a condensed wave of sound pierced straight through his body.
His organs ruptured instantly. He died without a scream.
Around him, the other artificial Devil Fruit users suffered the same fate. Blood poured from their eyes, ears, and mouths as they dropped from the sky one after another.
The warship descended smoothly and came to a halt.
Lloyd instructed Doflamingo to remain aboard. Then, in a single step, he vanished from the deck and appeared on the ground before the ship.
Kaido, now in his hybrid form, crashed down from above, landing heavily in front of him.
Behind Kaido, the Beasts Pirates gathered in full force. The All-Stars, the Tobiroppo, and countless subordinates filled the area, forming an overwhelming wall of bodies.
In contrast, Lloyd stood alone.
Yet Kaido's expression was far from relaxed.
He had already seen Sakazuki and Kuzan. That alone meant there were at least three Admirals present, including Lloyd.
Even for him, facing three Admirals at once was no trivial matter, especially when one of them was known as the strongest among them.
Still, this was his territory.
Kaido's confidence returned as he assessed the situation. He could handle Lloyd himself, while the rest of his forces would deal with the remaining Admirals. It would not be an easy fight, but it was not impossible.
What puzzled him more was the Navy's boldness.
For years, they had remained restrained. Yet now they had come directly to Onigashima in force. Were they not concerned about Marineford being attacked?
Then again, even with these forces here, the Navy still had other Admirals remaining.
Kaido steadied himself and fixed his gaze on Lloyd.
Behind him, some of his subordinates began shouting provocations, emboldened by his presence. Years of dominance had made them arrogant.
Jack stepped forward, his voice filled with rage.
"Admiral Black Dragon! Hand over Doflamingo! I will kill him myself!"
On the warship, Doflamingo simply smirked faintly, not even bothering to respond.
At that moment, movement came from behind Lloyd.
One after another, the remaining Admirals descended.
Sakazuki landed slightly behind Lloyd's left side, his presence burning like a furnace. Borsalino appeared to the right, his expression as relaxed as ever.
Kaido's face darkened slightly upon seeing him.
Then came Kuzan, Aramaki, Lucia, and finally Kuma.
Kuma did not use his ability. Instead, he dropped straight down with overwhelming force, his massive body striking the ground with a heavy impact that echoed across the battlefield.
Silence followed.
The Beasts Pirates, who had been shouting moments ago, fell completely still.
Kaido's expression became complicated.
Across from them stood seven figures.
Seven Admirals.
The realization struck like a hammer.
Only seven Marines had come, yet every single one of them was an Admiral.
The wind howled across Onigashima, harsh and relentless. It whipped through the battlefield, causing the cloaks of the seven Admirals to billow loudly.
The word Justice, emblazoned on their backs, stood out starkly.
Even Jack fell silent.
But not everyone.
Yamato pushed her way through the crowd, her grip tight on her kanabo as she glared at Lloyd.
"Admiral Black Dragon! I will kill you! I will avenge Oden and Ace!"
The moment her words fell, Kaido suddenly moved, stepping directly in front of her.
Before she could react, a sharp metallic clash rang out.
Clang!
A thick, dark spear erupted from the ground and slammed into Kaido's kanabo. Black lightning crackled violently at the point of impact, the unmistakable force of advanced Conqueror's Haki radiating outward.
Yamato's eyes widened in shock.
Kaido, who had always seemed invincible, was being forced backward.
Kaido's expression turned serious. Without looking back, he shouted,
"Fool, get out of the way!"
Yamato snapped out of her daze and quickly moved aside.
The moment she cleared the area, Kaido shifted his stance and withdrew, leaping away from the clash.
Freed from resistance, the dark spear surged forward.
It tore through the battlefield, obliterating several stunned pirates in its path. Their bodies burst apart instantly, reduced to nothing but blood mist.
