Chapter 374 - 374: Warlords Clash with Kaido

If there was no clear way to bring down a monster like Kaido, then even if every other member of the Beasts Pirates were defeated, it would still mean nothing. In the worst case, Kaido could simply retreat and preserve his forces.

For Sengoku, the objective of this war was simple, eliminate Kaido. He knew from the beginning that it would be an extremely difficult task, but as Fleet Admiral, he had no choice but to accept it.

From his position, Sengoku could already see Fujitora and Aramaki gradually falling into disadvantage. If this continued, their lives could be in danger.

Even two Admirals working together cannot handle that monster.

Sengoku's expression darkened.

He wanted to assist Fujitora and Aramaki personally, but he remained cautious. Kaido might still have hidden cards.

According to CP0 intelligence, the Golden Emperor Tesoro had already aligned himself with the Beasts Pirates, or at the very least maintained deep cooperation with them. There was no telling if he would appear on the battlefield.

In addition, the Phoenix Pirates and the Big Mom Pirates also had to be considered. Even if reports suggested they were currently occupied or unable to intervene, Sengoku could not gamble on that assumption.

His gaze shifted toward the Warlords of the Sea, who had been idling after clearing out lower ranking pirates.

Sengoku's frustration peaked.

He raised his voice.

"Warlords of the Sea, how long are you planning to stand around? I did not bring you here to watch. Move in and take down Kaido. Otherwise, I will revoke your Warlord status immediately."

At the mention of directly facing Kaido, the Warlords reacted differently, but none of them looked enthusiastic. If they had the power to defeat Kaido, they would not remain Warlords in the first place.

Dracule Mihawk, the world's greatest swordsman, narrowed his eyes as Sengoku's gaze landed on him. He understood the implication immediately. If he did nothing, his Warlord title could truly be stripped.

He did not particularly care about the title itself, but it did reduce unnecessary interference.

With a slow motion, Mihawk drew his black blade, Yoru.

Kaido, who had been fighting Fujitora and Aramaki, stopped his movement the moment Mihawk acted. Fujitora and Aramaki also took the opportunity to retreat a few steps, yielding the battlefield.

Kaido's brows tightened as he surveyed the situation. He could already tell that many of his subordinates had been defeated. Dragging this out would only worsen things.

"Hmph, Warlords of the Sea. If you all want to come at me together, then come."

Mihawk did not respond. He leapt forward instantly, his blade cutting through the air as a green sword slash flew toward Kaido.

Kaido smirked and swung his spiked club.

With a single impact, the slash was shattered. The force of his counterattack sent a shockwave toward Mihawk.

Mihawk twisted midair, narrowly avoiding it, and landed smoothly back where he started before calmly sheathing his blade again.

He made no further move.

The other Warlords watched in silence.

Cavendish followed up from a distance, releasing a sword slash of his own. By the time it reached Kaido, it had already lost most of its power. Kaido did not even bother evading, allowing it to break against his dragon scales.

Bartolomeo raised his barrier and launched a Barrier Crash. Kaido casually knocked it aside with a single swing of his club.

Bartolomeo grinned wildly.

"Gyahahaha, amazing! As expected of an Emperor."

Trafalgar Law activated ROOM and made a slicing motion. The attack dispersed harmlessly against Kaido's body without causing damage.

Law exhaled and spoke with a faintly amused tone.

"I've done my part, Fleet Admiral Sengoku."

Sengoku's expression darkened further at the lack of meaningful results.

Aramaki clicked his tongue.

"Damn it, they are just messing around at a time like this."

Fujitora, though blind, could sense everything clearly.

"This old man believes the system of Warlords will eventually be abolished. Such so called legal pirates are unnecessary."

Meanwhile, the battlefield chaos continued.

"Captain Buggy, you can do it."

"That's right, you are a legendary pirate."

The prisoners who had escaped from Impel Down still clung to Buggy with blind faith.

Buggy's face went pale as he stared at Kaido. His body trembled uncontrollably. He clearly wanted nothing more than to run away immediately.

Kaido glanced at the group of Warlords and spoke coldly.

"If you are not going to fight seriously, then stay out of my way."

He ignored them completely afterward. In his eyes, they were just opportunists who would never fully commit.

Kaido turned his attention back to Fujitora and Aramaki.

Once those two were dealt with, the rest of the Marines would be insignificant.

The battle resumed once more.

Sengoku watched from the rear with a heavy expression. He had refrained from joining earlier because he feared a prolonged clash without decisive results. If Kaido's allies arrived during that time, the situation would become unmanageable.

But the current state of the battlefield left no more room for hesitation.

Sengoku removed his cloak of justice and stepped forward.

"This is not Marineford. Even if the terrain favors the enemy, justice will not be shaken."

He raised his voice across the battlefield.

"Soldiers, do not fear death. Justice stands behind us. Eliminate all pirates."

With that, Sengoku leapt forward and landed beside Fujitora and Aramaki.

Both Admirals visibly relaxed at his arrival.

"So Fleet Admiral Sengoku is finally joining," Aramaki said.

"With him here, even Kaido cannot stand against the three of us," Fujitora added.

The Marines on the battlefield erupted in morale.

"The Fleet Admiral is fighting personally."

"This is over for Kaido."

Kaido's expression grew heavier.

"Worororo, two was not enough, now it is three. You Marines really love numbers."

Sengoku's tone was cold.

"Kaido, you are a threat to this world. I will personally arrest you."

Kaido tightened his grip on his club.

"Hmph, then try it."

In an instant, Kaido moved first.

Sengoku, Fujitora, and Aramaki responded simultaneously, unleashing their full power as the battlefield finally reached its peak confrontation.
