After leaving Knockturn Alley, Victor returned home.
A few days later, an owl arrived carrying a letter. Victor opened it and quickly recognized the handwriting.
Luna.
The letter was short. She was asking whether he was available for a visit during the summer.
Victor finished reading and leaned back in his chair, considering the request.
Across the room, Draco was practicing spells. The summer had not been kind to him. Ever since Victor had started teaching him seriously, Draco had discovered that learning magic properly was considerably less enjoyable than bragging about it.
That was when Draco saw an opportunity. Believing Victor was distracted, he quietly raised his wand. A grin appeared on his face.
Victor didn't even look up.
"Expelliarmus."
The spell crossed the room instantly. Draco's wand flew from his hand and the force sent him stumbling backward into a chair.
"What the hell?" Draco complained.
"You telegraphed it."
"I wasn't even making noise."
Victor folded the letter and placed it on the desk. "But your face announced your intentions before your wand did."
Draco frowned. "What does that even mean?"
Victor stood and walked toward him. "When fighting, your face should not reveal your thoughts." He picked up Draco's fallen wand and handed it back.
"The moment you decided to attack, you became excited." He pointed at Draco's face.
"Your eyes changed." Then at his shoulders.
"Your posture changed." Then at his wand hand.
"Your grip tightened."
Draco looked slightly embarrassed.
"A fight isn't just about spells. It's about information. The less your opponent can read you, the harder it becomes to predict you." Victor crossed his arms.
"Hide your emotions. Confuse your enemy. Make them uncertain about what comes next. That is why experienced duelists control their expressions."
Draco looked thoughtful. "So I should look emotionless?"
"Not necessarily. Sometimes showing the wrong emotion is more useful." Victor continued.
"If you're planning to attack, appear relaxed. If you're worried, appear confident. If you're confident, appear worried."
Understanding slowly appeared on Draco's face.
Victor nodded. "Exactly."
Then Victor's expression went flat.
"Of course, none of that matters if you keep trying to ambush someone while staring at your target like a child about to open Christmas presents."
Draco scowled. "Then show me something." He crossed his arms. "What can you actually do, Victor? I haven't seen you cast seriously in ages."
Victor looked at him for a moment. Then he nodded. "Okay."
He casually waved his wand.
The entire room reacted. Books flew from shelves. Chairs rose into the air. Decorative ornaments, picture frames, and a small table lifted from the floor.
Within seconds, dozens of objects were circling the room like a miniature typhoon — and Victor hadn't spoken a single incantation.
The objects moved at incredible speed while somehow avoiding every collision. A chair passed between two shelves. Several books spiraled around a lamp.
A silver ornament shot through the center of the storm before rejoining the rotation. Everything moved with impossible precision, as though connected directly to Victor's thoughts.
Draco could only stare. The magic itself wasn't what shocked him. It was the control.
Victor made another small movement with his wand. The entire storm stopped. Every object froze exactly where it was, hanging motionless throughout the room.
Then he flicked his wand again.
Everything returned to its original position. Books slid back onto shelves. Chairs settled onto the floor. Ornaments returned to their stands.
When it ended, the room looked exactly as it had before. Not a single item was misplaced.
Victor lowered his wand. "That is why you need perfect control over your wand and your thoughts."
Draco looked around the room. Nothing damaged. Nothing out of place. That somehow made the demonstration even more ridiculous.
"When did you learn chantless magic?" he asked. That wasn't even taught at their level.
Victor picked up Luna's letter from the table. "Second year."
Draco stared at him. "Second year?"
Victor nodded as though discussing the weather.
Draco honestly wasn't sure whether to be impressed or depressed anymore.
Victor grabbed his coat. "Tell Father and Mother I'm leaving for the Lovegood house."
Draco blinked. "Wait — you're going now?"
Victor was already walking toward the door.
It wasn't as though the Quidditch World Cup was only a week away. Victor had never been particularly excited about Quidditch to begin with. A letter from Luna was apparently reason enough.
"You're seriously travelling across the country because she sent you a letter?"
Victor looked back at him. "Yes." Then he stepped outside and closed the door.
Draco remained standing in the room for several seconds. Eventually he looked at the perfectly arranged furniture, then at the closed door.
"Second year..."
He sat down heavily. At this point, comparing himself to Victor was an excellent way to ruin his self-esteem.
As Victor put on his wizard robes, he noticed the sleeves had become slightly short. It seemed he had grown again. At this rate, he would need a new set before Hogwarts reopened.
With a sigh, he stepped out of Malfoy Manor and looked up at the clear blue sky. After a moment, he opened his status screen.

Victor looked over the screen for several moments. At this point, he was undeniably powerful — not quite at the level of Dumbledore or Voldemort, who were monsters even by wizarding standards, but among ordinary witches and wizards, very few could actually threaten him anymore.
After closing the screen, he disappeared with a crack.
A few moments later he Apparated near the Lovegood residence. The peculiar tower-like house stood on top of a grassy hill exactly as he remembered. Before he could even approach the entrance, he spotted Luna waiting outside.
She blinked when she saw him appear. "I thought a reply would come."
Victor smiled faintly. "Would you prefer a letter?"
Luna tilted her head, seriously considering the question. After several seconds she shook her head.
"No."
Then she walked forward.
"I prefer this."
Without hesitation, she wrapped her arms around one of his and immediately began pulling him toward the house.
