The woman sat silently, looking frightened while Jax kept his eyes on her. "Don't worry."
She didn't respond.
"We aren't going to hurt you."
Suddenly, a bracelet around the woman's wrist began glowing.
Jax's eyes widened.
"What the—?"
"Get away from her!"
Jax reached toward her but it was too late.
FLASH!
A blinding burst of light filled the entire vehicle causing everyone to cover their eyes.
When the light disappeared, the woman was gone.
Jax stared at the empty seat. "What?"
He grabbed the seat and looked around the vehicle but she was truly gone. "Where did she go?!"
The driver slammed on the brakes resulting in the vehicle screeching to a halt.
Jax's breathing became rapid as he commanded. "Search the vehicle!"
They searched everything but found nothing...
She had simply vanished.
