As the door closed behind him, he lifted his gaze to glance at Hera who was being fed grapes and massaged by several of her handmaidens.
"All of you, leave."
All the handmaidens at her side bowed to her respectfully before exiting the room.
Hera turned over languidly in the sofa whole resting her dainty chin in her palm.
"Adam you've arrived earlier than I thought."
"I am grateful to be in the presence of the queen."
"Hah! you may dispense with the pleasantries. I know you have not an ounce of reverence for my royal status."
Hera teased as she slowly got up from the sofa and sauntered over— her every motion dripping with allure. Her gaze trailed across every inch of Adam's body until it finally came to rest on his mask.
"Athena must have given it to you. I sense strong concealment magic within it. For to her to have gone this far, I wonder what hidden malaise lies behind your real appearance.
