Chapter 245: Making a Small Deal
"What a powerful physical body!"
Poken steadied himself, raised his head to look at Raptorex , clenched his teeth, and said in a low voice.
Being able to reach this point wasn't due solely to brute strength—he had some brains as well.
He had originally thought that the Dragonflame Pirates were nothing but an empty name, completely unworthy of a bounty exceeding ten billion.
Now he understood that the truly foolish one was himself, not the Marines.
Just Raptorex alone had strength comparable to his. And out at sea there was an even more massive molten giant, whose aura was no weaker than Raptorex's.
"Extreme Burst!"
He was unwilling to retreat. If he did, the people on his pirate ship would die—even though that ship wasn't his entire fleet.
His aura surged to an even more terrifying level. A wave of dust rose with it, swirling around his body.
Boom!
A thunderous sound rang out as his figure vanished from where he stood.
Immediately after, bursts of horrifying explosions echoed across Sabaody Archipelago.
The coastline was smashed to pieces. Within a thousand-meter radius, there wasn't a single intact spot.
Half an hour later.
Poken stopped. His breathing wasn't even ragged, but his expression was extremely dark.
Looking at Raptorex , who had transformed into a pillar of blades, he felt utterly helpless.
At his extreme burst speed, Raptorex couldn't keep up with him—but in the blink of an eye, Raptorex 's entire body turned into sharp blades, all covered with a defensive layer of Armament Haki.
Then he simply stood there and let Poken attack. Attack as much as he liked.
Although each of Poken's strikes could shatter the Armament Haki and land on Raptorex's body, once the Haki was broken, the remaining force could only cause damage that barely counted as damage. Not a drop of blood was shed.
Still, Poken himself wasn't injured either, and his stamina hadn't been consumed much.
There was no helping it—his Devil Fruit ability worked like this.
"Poken?"
Suddenly, a streak of lightning condensed in front of him, making him instantly alert.
Jiang Qize's figure appeared, looking at him with a smile.
"Summoner!"
Poken sized him up, narrowing his eyes.
He could sense the power within the Summoner's body—it was actually not much weaker than his own, and yet he was so young.
"Your ability should be Extreme Burst, right?" Jiang Qize was also sizing him up.
The Extreme Fruit allowed its user to keep their strength constantly at peak condition—whether it was speed, power, stamina, or recovery.
It didn't directly increase combat power, but for a strong person, it was the best possible enhancement.
Even if injured, they could still erupt with peak combat strength.
"Release my crew!"
A hint of wariness flashed through Poken's eyes.
He hadn't expected the Dragonflame Pirates to have so many strong members.
"Poken, have you gotten stupid from staying in the New World? Who gave you the confidence to say something like that?"
Jiang Qize looked at him with a teasing expression.
The subordinates already in his hands—why would he let them go?
"I'll form an alliance with you and help you ascend to emperor!"
Poken gritted his teeth, eyes reddened as he spoke.
He had originally come to suppress this overconfident new pirate crew. If possible, he even planned to wipe them out, removing a stumbling block on his path to becoming an emperor in the New World.
But instead, he had been the one to fall here first.
"Hahaha… as if I need your help?" Jiang Qize laughed.
With the current strength of the Dragonflame Pirates, they could casually wipe out any large pirate crew in the New World—even one that had already been crowned an emperor, like Whitebeard.
"However… if you help me do one thing, I can consider letting them go."
Jiang Qize's eyes shifted slightly as he smiled.
"What thing?"
Though his fury was boiling over, Poken had no choice but to suppress it. He spoke through clenched teeth.
