Chapter 239: Killing a Celestial Dragon
Inside the auction house.
The auction house was fairly large, with over a hundred seats. Jiang Qize directly led the two of them to the front row's VIP seats.
"They actually sat there—don't they know that's the Celestial Dragons' exclusive seating?"
"It's over, it's over. They're definitely going to die horribly."
"What does this have to do with us? Just do our own jobs."
Around the auction house, several staff members were sneaking glances at Jiang Qize and his companions, whispering among themselves.
As time passed, the auction hall gradually filled up.
Many of the attendees were major pirates with bounties exceeding a hundred million. They had come here specifically for those three Devil Fruits.
But now, all of them were curiously staring at the three people seated at the very front.
Daring to sit in the front row—this was anything but ordinary.
"They're here, they're here. The Celestial Dragons are here. Kneel down and don't say a word!" one staff member glanced outside and cried out in terror.
As soon as he finished speaking, he dropped to the ground, prostrating himself fully.
The other staff members also knelt one by one, their bodies trembling slightly as they prayed that the Celestial Dragons wouldn't notice them.
Clank, clank…
The sound of iron chains dragging along the floor rang out.
The auction house fell silent. Everyone except Jiang Qize and the other two turned their gazes toward the entrance.
At the doorway, a huge, disheveled figure crawled slowly inside on the ground, a chain locked around his neck, moving like a dog.
Holding the chain was a Celestial Dragon wearing thick white clothing, very short in stature, with a round transparent glass bubble over his head and an ugly appearance.
Behind the Celestial Dragon followed a squad of guards dressed in black suits.
"Move faster!"
Charlmark shouted, kicking the "pet" viciously.
Bang! The "pet" was kicked and sent crashing to the ground.
"Useless trash. Kill it for me!"
Charlmark's shrill voice rang out as he tossed the chain onto the floor.
Bang! One of the guards behind him immediately pulled out a gun and shot the "pet" dead.
Charlmark wiped his hands with a look of disgust, then walked inside.
When he reached the front and saw someone sitting in that seat, he stopped, his face darkening.
"It's over, it's over…"
"Who are those three? How dare they sit there? They might even drag us down with them."
"Hopefully those three don't anger the Celestial Dragon, or it'll really be a disaster."
The surrounding staff members and some of the pirates muttered in fear.
"You three—starting today, you're my new pets. Someone, bring the chains!"
Charlmark stared at Jiang Qize and the others, shouting arrogantly.
The guards behind him hurriedly brought over three iron chains.
"Clutch of a Thousand Flowers · Strangle!"
Robin's refined, calm face flashed with a faint glimmer. She crossed her hands in front of her chest and spoke softly.
Whoosh, whoosh, whoosh…
In an instant, pairs of pale hands sprouted from the Celestial Dragon and the guards, wrapping around their necks and twisting violently.
Crack, crack, crack…
One after another, they toppled to the ground, eyes wide open, confusion still lingering in their gaze.
The Celestial Dragon was no exception.
"The Celestial Dragon… is dead?"
"A Celestial Dragon is dead—run!"
"Ah—!"
"Run, run! An Admiral will be here any moment!"
Everyone was shaken. Even those great pirates with bounties over a hundred million didn't dare linger. One after another, they shouted in panic and poured out of the auction house.
Celestial Dragons weren't strong—they could kill them—but they didn't dare to.
In their eyes, Celestial Dragons were taboo, beings that could not be killed.
Once a Celestial Dragon was killed, within ten minutes an Admiral would descend, and by then, they would all be dead.
