Chapter 248 - Chapter 248: The President's Twin Daughters (Part 2)

"Sis, that Mavi... it seems like he doesn't know who we are?" During the walk, the younger sister, Bella Vina, quietly asked her older sister, Amphilia.

Whether they were the president's daughters or daughters from an ordinary family, they were still girls. And girls get curious about certain people. Like this Mavi guy, who didn't even come over to say hello. All the other rich kids enthusiastically came up to chat. But Mavi just stood there like a log, not moving!

Bella Vina originally wanted to ask him, right there at the event, how he managed to do all those things. But clearly, there was no opportunity. As the president's daughter, it wouldn't do to lower herself by actively approaching someone. Otherwise, she'd definitely get lectured by her mom, the First Lady...

"Maybe? But... isn't it better if he doesn't know who we are? It makes things much more interesting," replied the older sister, Amphilia. She was only born a few minutes before Bella Vina, but the way she spoke, pretending to be "old and mature," made you think she was years older if you didn't know better.

The reason Amphilia said it was better was because, as the president's twin daughters, many people around them always felt intimidated and distant, unable to speak or chat with them normally. It was always with reverence and distance, so they never felt like they were truly making friends.

"How is that interesting, Sis?" Bella Vina asked Amphilia, pouting. In the younger sister's eyes, Amphilia was only born a few minutes earlier than her but was constantly lecturing her with her "older sister" status. It was really getting on her nerves...

"You'll see later," Amphilia said with a smile. Her feigned sophistication made her sister involuntarily pout and secretly show her disdain.

Two minutes later, while her mom wasn't looking, Amphilia asked a waitress for paper and a pen. She then wrote a line of text on the paper. She quietly asked the waitress to keep it a secret and deliver the note to a Mr. Mavi standing by the banquet hall entrance.

The entire process was done in the dressing room. The only ones who knew this secret were the two sisters and the waitress who delivered the message.

Another two minutes passed. Mavi, who was drinking with the Minister of Defense's secretary, Yuna, was suddenly interrupted by the approaching waitress. "Excuse me, are you Mr. Mavi? I have a note here I need to give you."

"A note?" Mavi looked at the folded white paper in the waitress's hand. He suddenly remembered the scene from his student days, passing notes back and forth in class. Back then, no one had cell phones.

Mavi reached out and took the white paper from the waitress. When he opened it, he found it was written in Russian: "Would like to get to know you. Convenient to leave a contact method?"

Compared to Mavi's "reservedness," the Russian girl was clearly much more open. Interesting, she just asked for contact info to chat and see.

Seeing the elegant handwriting on the note, Mavi wasn't sure who had left it for him. So, he simply didn't write anything and had the waitress return it, just to avoid any unnecessary trouble.

Two minutes later, when the waitress returned to the dressing room with the note that had no number on it, the sisters Amphilia and Bella Vina looked at the untouched note in a daze. They felt that this Mavi guy really was... quite something! They asked him for a number, and he didn't even give it!

They knew how many people were practically fighting for their contact information but couldn't find a chance. And this Mavi, of all people, was acting so high and mighty!

"Sis, is this what you meant by interesting? He didn't even give his phone number, so how are we supposed to contact him?" Bella Vina asked her sister, teasingly. It was true that it was quite fun that he didn't know who they were.

Amphilia knew her sister was deliberately asking, so she feigned composure and retorted, "Don't you think it's interesting? Anyway, his contact information should be on the host's guest list!"

Due to their sensitive status, the two sisters didn't usually get to interact with many people. So, when they met someone with a personality like Mavi, they found it very fresh and interesting.

And so, on the way home in the car, Mavi's phone suddenly received a text message from an unknown number: "Hey, what's with you? A girl actively asks for your contact info, and you just ignore it?"

Mavi, seeing the message, had a face full of question marks. He had no idea who was on the other end of the text. Probably one of the noble daughters he happened to see at the banquet earlier...?

"Excuse me, who is this?" This time, Mavi couldn't ignore the message. Otherwise, he might accidentally offend someone. Besides, the other party had already found his phone number, clearly holding a grudge about being ignored earlier.

One minute later, the unknown number replied: "I won't tell you who I am! Guess if you dare?"

As for this kind of message content, Mavi was too lazy to play guessing games and fall into their trap. So, he directly sent a text back: "Guess if I'll guess what you're guessing? If you don't answer the phone, you're a puppy."

Then, calculating the timing, he directly dialed the number and called them.

This move was quite smooth, you could say. It completely caught the sisters Amphilia and Bella Vina on the other end of the phone by surprise! They could only stare blankly at the phone screen as Mavi's number lit up.

"Sis, answer it quickly... otherwise, you'll be a puppy!" Bella Vina gently shook Amphilia's arm, urging her to pick up the phone quickly. They were twin sisters, if the older sister was a puppy, then she, as the younger sister, would be a puppy sister... she was getting caught in the crossfire just by existing.

"I'll answer it, I'll answer it!" Amphilia took a deep breath and then answered the call. But it wasn't long before she hung up due to a touch of inexplicable awkwardness and nervousness.

At this moment, she suddenly had a flash of inspiration, and with a lucky guess, she sent a message to Mavi: "I did answer the phone, so Mr. Mavi of the Mikoyan family, you still don't know who I am, right?"

After sending the message, Amphilia was quite pleased with her quick thinking. Indeed, a 16-year-old girl isn't 26. Even a president's daughter has a girlish side with "childlike innocence remaining."

Mavi, receiving the message, shook his head helplessly.

After their brief interaction, he could sense that the other person's psychological age was probably not yet adult. That's why they were using methods like passing notes and sending mysterious texts to contact him. If it were an adult, they'd probably have introduced themselves openly and straightforwardly.

There were only a few minors at the banquet earlier. Mavi thought for a moment and pretty much figured out who was on the other end of the text...

"You're so mysterious, of course, I don't know who you are. Right, Miss Amphilia? Or little sister Bella Vina?"
