Chapter 169 - The Perfect Husband Title

A bright morning enveloped the academy, with warm sunlight filtering through the large windows of the classroom hallways. However, the warmth of the morning seemed to pause, replaced by a sweet surprise that captured the attention of all the students in Class 1-A.

Light footsteps entered the room, bringing in the figure of a new student whose presence in the middle of the semester was entirely unexpected.

The student stood at the front of the class with such an innocent smile. His incredibly handsome yet cute face instantly made the whole class hold their breath in silence, especially the female students who couldn't hide their admiration.

"Hello, I am Alvein Vedegra. Nice to meet you all!" he greeted in a straightforward and friendly tone.

That brief introduction successfully spellbound the entire room into instant silence. The name 'Vedegra' slipping from the youth's lips immediately sparked a massive question mark in their heads.

And the wild guesses of the students, especially the girls, truly became a striking reality when their eyes accidentally caught an important detail.

A white contract symbol was clearly engraved on the back of the new student's right hand.

Instantly, the atmosphere of admiration filled with romantic hopes in the air shattered to pieces. They all had to dash their dreams right then and there upon realizing that this new student was the fourth spouse of the King of Terror, Arvin Vedegra.

The news of the arrival of the charming new student spread incredibly fast by word of mouth, like wildfire in a dry field. However, just like what happened in Class 1-A, the admiration and desire to possess from the female students had to wither before they could even bloom upon discovering who the rightful owner of the new student was.

When the recess bell rang, the crowd centered in the academy cafeteria. In one of the most strategic corners, Arvin and his four spouses sat in a circle, enjoying sweet snacks and fresh drinks they had just ordered, becoming the center of secret attention for everyone in the cafeteria.

"Allen!" Alvein called out with an enthusiastic tone that was deliberately lowered a bit, looking at the first spouse full of curiosity. "How was it? Were you very satisfied making love with him last night?"

Hearing that blunt question, Allen couldn't hide the expression on his face that radiated absolute satisfaction.

"Of course!" Allen answered happily, his smile widening. "Tonight is Alrain's turn, right?"

"Just according to our agreement!" Ordion suddenly chimed in. He crossed his arms, giving a sharp look but interspersed with a playful glint. "But, before he makes love with you tonight, let Alvein and I hug our husband when we bathe together this afternoon!"

"I don't mind!" Alrain said quickly, responding to Ordion calmly. "Besides, when night falls, it's my turn to completely monopolize our husband in bed!"

"I can only wait for my turn the day after tomorrow." Alvein said with a resigned tone, his lips pouting slightly in a cute manner.

Seeing the sad expression on their husband's fourth spouse, Alrain smiled gently. "Don't be gloomy like that, Alvein." he comforted in a soothing voice. "At least we are all treated fairly, right? Just be patient until your turn arrives. If you are gloomy like that, our husband will definitely feel sad too, you know."

That gentle yet spot-on remark from Alrain successfully made Alvein realize his mistake. Not wanting to make his husband worry, he immediately lifted his face, smiling broadly to show a neat row of white teeth.

Seeing that smile return, Alrain and Ordion reflexively moved. Both of them wrapped their arms around Alvein's shoulders from the left and right, then joined in flashing wide smiles specifically aimed at Arvin, who had only been sitting quietly listening to their little debate all this time.

As if forgetting where they were right now, the domestic conversation flowing so freely from their table was actually faintly heard by many students in the cafeteria.

Their harmony and the way they shared affection drew various reactions from the eavesdroppers.

Some shook their heads, feeling that having more than one spouse was too troublesome and emotionally draining. Some muttered anxiously, fearing the potential for jealousy and betrayal in the future. However, quite a few were curious and had wild fantasies about how incredible Arvin's stamina must be to be able to serve his four spouses fairly in bed.

Amidst the warm and bustling atmosphere of the cafeteria, Arvin suddenly stood up from his chair.

"My Love, where are you going?" Alrain asked, looking up at his husband with a curious expression.

Arvin looked down, gazing at the faces of his four spouses with a calm and affectionate look. "Since there is still some time, I want to go to the library for a bit."

Allen, Alrain, Ordion, and Alvein perfectly understood their husband's goal in suddenly wanting to go to the library.

"I'm coming too!" the four of them exclaimed in unison, preparing to get up from their chairs as well.

Arvin raised one hand, signaling them to stay seated. "I might skip the next class. It's better if you all just go to class." Arvin said in a quiet but final tone, responding to their wishes. "I hope you understand."

Even though there was a reluctance to part, the four of them still obeyed without the slightest hint of disappointment etched on their respective faces.

"Okay!" Allen replied, taking over to represent the others. He gave a sweet smile to encourage his husband. "In that case, enjoy your time in the library. Don't push yourself too hard, My Husband."

Arvin nodded slowly, giving a faint smile before finally turning around and stepping away from the cafeteria area to find the book about cloning magic in the library.

Allen, Alrain, Ordion, and Alvein fell silent as they watched their husband's back slowly walk away before finally disappearing after turning towards the library area.

As soon as Arvin's silhouette was no longer visible, the smile on Allen's face instantly faded. He let out a long sigh.

"I don't know whether I should feel happy or sad seeing him like that." Allen complained fretfully, clasping his hands together on the table. "If it weren't for my request back then, he wouldn't be pushing himself this hard. I'm sure right now he must be feeling very pressured to find that book just for the sake of our happy smiles."

"It's not just you, Allen!" Alrain chimed in with a gloomy tone, unease clearly depicted in his dimming gaze. The invisible burden carried by their husband seemed to rub off on him. "I also feel very guilty towards him."

"I don't know what our husband's true feelings are behind his calm face every time he sees us debating over our turns to make love." Ordion added with a slightly hoarse voice. A feeling of anxiety swelled greatly in his chest. He stared blankly at the table. "I really hope he doesn't push himself too far."

Alvein bowed his head deeply, feeling guilty, then muttered softly. "I still remember when we sulked at him in the bathroom. He looked so frustrated seeing our pouting faces. I'm sorry, Honey..."

"You're right!" Allen replied, biting his lower lip to hold back the welling surge of regret. "We should have understood his limits better! We should have realized that he would always do whatever it takes just for the four of us to smile. I am truly a stupid spouse!"

The four of them sank into a dismal silence, contemplating their selfishness that had indirectly pressured the mental state of the head of the family.

And then, Alrain took a deep breath, trying to be the balancing pillar among them.

"Enough!" Alrain scolded gently, trying to change their mood. "Regret won't change anything. Forbidding him is also useless. Just let him do what he wants to do. For now, let's just go back to class! The lunch break will end soon."

Hearing the rational direction from Alrain, the three youths finally nodded slowly. They got up from their chairs and walked side by side, leaving the cafeteria to return to their routines as students.

However, the atmosphere in the cafeteria turned into incredibly frantic whispers after the four of them left. The honest and guilt-ridden conversation of the King of Terror's four spouses had been heard very clearly by everyone who had been intentionally eavesdropping all along.

The fact about King of Terror in the cafeteria had unintentionally created a new rumor in the academy. Arvin Vedegra was crowned as the figure of the 'Perfect Husband', and it immediately spread with lightning speed to every corner of the academy.
