The sun rays hit the sea, making it glimmer beautifully, slowly the rays expanded as the sun rose.
From the coast, Alice silently watched the beautiful view, her green eyes lustrous from it. By her hand she tried to fix her straight blonde hair.
"So." Alice murmured to herself. "Let's get back to Washington. "
Alice picked up her backpack from the ground, strapping into her shoulder. Then she started to walk towards her destination.
The Mexican— American border.
Sometimes later, Alice found herself in a big town, expensive cars driving through roads, big skyscrapers standing proudly, people walking in the street in luxury attire.
Yet she doesn't bother about it anything, Alice looked down while walking, trying her best to to not keep any eye contact, lost in her own unknown thoughts.
All of a sudden, Alice stops. A police man looked at her, he said something to his Remote Speaker Microphone after that walked towards her.
Alice gulps anxiously, she turns around just to see more police cars coming, surrounding her in all directions.
"What the hell is going on? " She whispered to herself. "They don't see me when the coast guard attacks us and I don't think they know my real personality. "
A thought struck Alice's mind. "I came here illegally, that's why they attacked me. How do they know about it? "
"Mam. " A policeman approached her. "You have to come with us, we only wanted to ask you a few questions. "
For a second Alice didn't say anything, she froze like a statue.
"Mam. "
"Yeah.. Yeah. " Alice snapped out. "Can I ask you why I am going? "
"Nothing. " The policeman explained. "We only want some answer from you. "
"If I don't go with them they would probably use force. " Alice looked around to see some people looking at her.
"I couldn't grab more attention. " She thinks.
"Ok. " Alice agreed. "I am coming. "
The police stayed silent, Alice noticed it, making her feel uneasy. Another policeman came near her, raising his hands towards the police car's open door.
Alice sat on the backseat, the police car started to drive directly to the police office.
"Can you at least tell me why am I going to the police office. " She questioned the two police officers sitting in the front seat in worry.
Still both policemen stayed silent. Alice's face soaked in sweat, when she looked at the back, she saw more police cars behind the car, preventing her from leaving.
"I might not know about the Mexican law but it is definitely against the law to arrest a person without telling him/her about the actual crime he/she did. " Alice shouted to the police officer.
The officer didn't respond to her, driving as fast as they could to the station. Alice leaned back in frustration.
"Fuck you all. " She mumbled. "I have to escape this shit or Lord Yin wouldn't even think twice of killing me if he found out."
Sometimes later, the police station finally came. The both police men came out, opened the backseat, when Alice came out they immediately handcuff her.
She tried to resist. "Let me go! What have I done wrong? Can you tell me please? "
"Mam. " Finally a senior police officer spoke. " Soon the Special forces will come to pick you up, then you will be transported to a secure area. "
"Can you at least tell me what I have done? Like I am literally being arrested by the special forces! " Alice started to get frustrated.
"We don't know mam. " The senior police officer declined. " When the special officers come you may ask them. "
"Fine. " Alice sighs.

"Give those files to Section A. "
Emma gives some file bundles to a junior assistant.
"Okay. "
By saying that he goes away, Emma sits back on her chair, continuing her work of typing important information in the computer.
"Mrs Emma. " An employee came near her. "The boss is calling you. "
Emma stops typing on the computer, she looks to the employee.
"What is it? " Emma questioned.
"I don't know. " He respectfully said. "The boss says it is something personal. "
Emma didn't think that much before standing up, she started to walk to the boss room. Thinking about what the boss needed though her face was still cold.
When she gets in front of the room, Emma exhales, getting ready for whatever his boss has called her for.
"May I come in? " Emma slowly opens the door.
The boss, a fat man wearing a suit, is bald with short square shaped spectacles. His office is mostly empty, only a table, one big executive chair for him, on the other side of a table two normal chairs for the one whoever wants to talk to him.
Behind him is the number of certificates and trophies to show how great their company branch really is.
"Yeah. " The boss gave permission.
Emma comes in, standing in front of the boss, thinking why he brought her here.
"Is there a problem? "
"No.. No. " The boss gestured to her to sit. "Have a seat please, I wanna talk about your position. "
"What? " Emma became confused. "What is with my position? "
"The thing is. " The boss classes his hands. "After Ron became missing we are facing a problem of picking the new manager. I think you are the best one to be one as seeing your hardwork. "
Emma can't believe her ears to hear what the boss has just said.
"I don't think it's a good idea. " Emma rejected his offer. "I am not ready for this position, I am inexperienced. "
The boss rests back on his chair, making himself comfortable.
"Whatever you like Emma, no one is forcing you. You can go now. "
"Thanks sir for giving me this chance and sorry for rejecting your offer. I hope you understand sir. "
"Yeah.. Yeah. " The boss didn't look at Emma, continuing his work.
Emma leaves the room, going to her work, walking slowly still understanding that rejecting her officer is good.
"Emma. "
Emma snapped out. "Yeah. "
"Someone called your phone, wanna tell you about it. " His employee informed her.
"Thanks. "
When Emma got to her phone she saw multiple notifications of Vyuk, he even messaged her, telling to meet him in his house for a talk.
"What the hell, I just came back from Washington and this is what is going on. "
Emma rubs her face in irritation.
