After comforting Skye, Homelander looked up.
The mountain mass carrying the entire Inhuman village was plummeting toward his position with thunderous momentum.
If it were the old Homelander, even with the power to push anything away, he wouldn't have been able to stop such a massive mountain fracture.
Because the moment he applied force, he would have pierced through the rock layers like a needle through tofu, unable to hold up the loose structure at all.
But now, things were different.
Holding Skye with one hand, Homelander didn't retreat; instead, he moved forward, directly meeting the falling mountain peak.
He hovered at the edge beneath the fractured rock slab, extending his free right hand, palm upward, and steadily braced it against the bottom of the slab.
"Up!"
Homelander let out a low shout.
The majestic Force within his body erupted, flowing through his palm like a giant net, instantly covering and enveloping the entire bottom structure of the rock slab.
The Force provided an absolutely uniform load-bearing surface, perfectly solving the problem of concentrated stress points.
Coulson's group, waiting for death in despair, along with all the Inhuman villagers.
Suddenly felt the ground, which had been violently jolting and plummeting, come to a sudden halt.
Not only that, but something even more incredible happened.
The ground, tilted at more than sixty degrees, actually began to rise slowly, returning to a level position bit by bit.
Coulson lay at the edge, poking his head out in disbelief to look down.
The Inhuman villagers also ran to the edge of the cracks and looked down.
In mid-air, they saw a man wearing a stars and stripes cape, holding Skye with one arm.
His other hand was steadily lifting the mountain rock slab weighing tens of millions of tons!
Just like a god!
"My God..."
One villager's legs went weak, and he knelt on the ground, his eyes filled with awe.
"It's Homelander..." Coulson let out a long sigh of relief, wiping the cold sweat from his forehead.
"He always likes to make an entrance at times like this."
Homelander looked down at Skye in his arms; she was clutching his waist tightly, her whole body still trembling slightly.
"It's okay, Skye. It's all over," Homelander said softly. "But now I need to free up both hands for some heavy lifting. Go back up and wait for me first."
"Coulson," Homelander called out to Coulson, who was peeking over the edge.
"I'm here, Sir."
Hearing the voice, Coulson immediately stood up straight.
Homelander gently tossed Skye upward.
Skye traced an arc through the air.
Coulson opened his arms and caught her steadily, placing her back on level ground.
May, Fitz, and Simmons immediately gathered around, shielding Skye in their midst.
"Skye, you're safe," Simmons hugged her.
Homelander's gaze swept over the villagers who were looking at him with eyes full of awe.
He cleared his throat, and with the enhancement of The Force, his voice spread clearly throughout the entire village.
"Everyone, I am Homelander," Homelander's tone was gentle, carrying a reassuring power.
"Don't worry, you are saved."
"I promise, all of you will survive."
"Now, follow my instructions. Everyone who can move, immediately head to the square in the center of the village. Find a sturdy pillar or hold onto a heavy rock. If you have family and friends, please hold each other's hands tightly."
Homelander smiled relaxed.
"The journey ahead will be a bit bumpy..."
The crowd froze for a few seconds, clearly not yet reacting.
"What are you waiting for? Move!" Coulson was the first to break the silence, shouting instructions.
"Do as he says! Get to the center of the square! Bring the wounded!"
May also acted immediately, supporting an Inhuman villager with an injured leg.
Led by the S.H.I.E.L.D. team, the villagers finally snapped out of it and surged toward the center of the square.
Seeing the crowd in motion, Homelander then dove down and entered the bottom of the village's massive rock layer.
He raised both arms upward.
The Force locked with the physical structure of the rock layer, ensuring that the mountain peak would not disintegrate in mid-air due to uneven force during the subsequent high-speed movement.
"Here we go."
Homelander exerted force with both arms.
"Rumble—!!!"
Before everyone's horrified eyes, the entire village actually rose from the ground.
The villagers only felt the ground beneath their feet lift sharply upward, and their hearts couldn't help but tighten.
But the expected upheaval didn't happen; the ground was surprisingly stable.
A villager looked out and couldn't help but open his mouth wide—wide enough to fit a fist.
"Oh my God..."
Hearing the sound, the people around also followed his gaze.
Then they saw a sight they would never forget in their lives.
The towering snow-capped mountains that originally surrounded the village were now below their line of sight.
White clouds drifted past the edge of the village, within reach.
Invisible gales howled outside, yet couldn't penetrate the village one bit.
Their village was soaring in the sky!
"We're flying in the sky... the village is flying in the sky!"
Bursts of exclamations erupted from the crowd.
Even those villagers with special abilities were now stunned into a mental blank by the scene before them.
Although their powers gave them various abilities beyond ordinary people, lifting a mountain single-handedly was still beyond their imagination—this was something only a god could do!
...
Over the Pacific Ocean.
Supporting the massive village, Homelander used The Force to push aside the airflow, swiftly gliding across the sea.
Below, an ocean-going freighter loaded with containers was sailing.
On the deck, a crew member who was smoking suddenly felt the light overhead being blocked.
He looked up in confusion, and the cigarette in his mouth fell onto the deck with a "patter."
"My God..."
He actually saw a massive island flying rapidly at a high altitude.
At the bottom of the island, a tiny figure could be seen faintly supporting it.
The crew member snapped out of it and scrambled to pull his phone from his pocket, aiming it at the sky and pressing the record button.
A few minutes later, this video—only ten-odd seconds long and somewhat blurry due to the distance—was uploaded to YouTube.
The caption was just a frenzied roar: "Someone is carrying a mountain over the Pacific Ocean!!!"
At first, netizens just took this as crude special effects promotion for some new Hollywood movie.
But as more and more ships captured footage from different angles, the internet completely exploded.
"This isn't special effects! This is real!"
"Zoom in on the picture! Look at that red and blue figure at the bottom! That figure looks a bit familiar!"
The news spread like a virus across major social media platforms.
Related topics hit tens of millions of views in minutes.
Major news media outlets moved upon hearing the news.
Vought News Network, with the most advanced equipment, reacted the fastest.
Their Hummingbird Drones were already following Homelander's flight path in an orderly fashion.
Ten minutes later, high-definition live footage was fed into television networks and streaming platforms worldwide.
