Enhanced by her Binary state, Carol's mental resilience was greatly strengthened.
Although she still couldn't escape the pain of her soul being burned, she managed to regain control of her body.
Tortured to the brink of losing control, Carol went all out!
Her fists, wrapped in massive photonic energy, unleashed a frenzied assault on Fury's pitch-black skull.
"Bang, bang, bang, bang, bang, bang!"
Dozens of full-power photonic heavy punches slammed fiercely into the skull.
Carol wasn't satisfied yet; she clasped her hands around Fury's skull, palms pressed tight.
Endless photonic energy flowed from her palms, forcibly pouring into Fury's body.
"Haa—!"
Fury let out a painful roar.
His pitch-black skeleton, unable to bear the immense impact of the photonic energy, began to shake uncontrollably.
A faint "crack" sound came from the bone surface as tiny fissures, glowing with blinding white light, spread across his skull.
But Carol was in no better shape.
The more Fury's skull cracked, the more fiercely the Flames of Vengeance surged back.
The pain of her soul being burned increased exponentially, and Carol's vision began to blur.
Both were desperately draining all the power in their bodies, attempting to completely destroy the other.
The intense pain caused Carol to lose control of her flight posture.
Wrapped in photonic energy and Hellfire, the two lost their power of levitation and plummeted straight toward the ground below.
The intense air friction caused a cone of white shockwaves to ignite around them.
"BOOM—!!!"
In the suburbs of New York, a small earthquake swept through the surroundings.
The two were separated by the massive recoil force.
Carol knelt on one knee, gasping violently, the photonic energy on her body dimmed significantly.
Ten meters away, the black skeleton, burning with dark red flames, slowly stood up.
"Guilty..."
Fury took another step, closing in on Carol.
Carol wiped the saliva from the corner of her mouth, swayed as she stood up, and lit up her fists with photonic energy again, preparing to face the next round of a life-and-death battle.
"You two, do me a favor and stop fighting."
A red and blue figure descended from the sky, landing lightly between them.
Carol stared at the man who had suddenly appeared.
Blond hair, blue suit, stars and stripes.
"Homelander?" Although she spent most of her time in the Universe, she knew about this figure on Earth thanks to the Sovereign's propaganda. "Be careful! He's a butcher!"
Fury, however, had no intention of stopping.
The corrupted Hellfire had completely consumed his reason; any creature standing in his way was an obstacle he needed to clear.
"Guilty..."
Fury raised the chain in his hand, and with a whistling wind and terrifying high temperature, lashed it directly at Homelander's face.
Homelander sighed.
"It seems you can't understand human language right now."
Homelander didn't dodge; he reached out and firmly grasped the lashing Hellfire chain.
Dark red flames instantly enveloped his palm.
But there was not a trace of pain on Homelander's face; his The Force had already isolated this flame from hell.
Fury pulled hard on the chain, only to find it didn't budge at all.
The next second, Homelander exerted force.
He jerked the arm holding the chain backward violently.
The immense power transmitted along the chain, and Fury was dragged off the ground, flying toward Homelander.
Homelander looked at the black skeleton rushing toward him, a curious smile appearing on his face.
"Perfect, let me test my new move on you."
He spread his feet slightly, took a half-horse stance, and pushed his right hand forward seemingly gently, pressing it firmly against Fury's burning sternum.
But at the moment of contact, time seemed to stretch.
A strange ripple, centered on Homelander's palm, struck deep into Fury's soul.
This move was a magic Homelander had recently mastered from the Ancient One's notes, scientifically named "Astral Projection," commonly known as the "Soul-Ejecting Palm."
Fury's body immediately froze in place.
The next second.
Two shadows were forcibly slapped out of this black skeletal body!
One was the shadow of Nick Fury's own soul, appearing in a semi-transparent state.
The other was a mutated evil spirit burning with dark red flames.
The incomplete evil spirit, slapped out of the body, twisted its spirit body angrily in mid-air.
A dark red contract line connected it to Nick Fury's physical body.
The evil spirit followed this contract line and lunged forward, attempting to return to the host's body.
Homelander stepped across, blocking the path between the Spirit of Vengeance and Fury.
He raised his palm again, ready to give this reckless evil spirit another heavy blow.
But the evil spirit clearly didn't take this human before it seriously.
It ignored Homelander and crashed directly into Homelander's chest, intending to pass through his body to get back to the host.
However, the moment the evil spirit touched Homelander.
The suit on Homelander, which incorporated an Invisibility Cloak, suddenly shimmered with a ghostly light.
That was the power of the Deathly Hallows awakening.
The Spirit of Vengeance let out a silent wail, then was tightly wrapped by countless black threads extending from the surface of the suit.
It struggled desperately, but it was all in vain.
In just two seconds.
The violent evil spirit was forcibly dragged by those black threads and absorbed directly into the interior of Homelander's suit, disappearing without a trace.
Meanwhile, in the depths of a distant dimension, a roar of anger that shook space resounded: "Impossible!! You cannot do this!!"
And Homelander stood where he was, a pleasant system prompt sounding in his mind.
[Detected special energy entity... Fusing with new unknown power! 0.1%... 0.2%... 0.3%...]
Hearing the system prompt, Homelander's eyes lit up, and he was overjoyed.
He had originally just wanted to test the Ancient One's magic, never expecting an unexpected harvest.
Not far away, Fury's soul stood frozen in mid-air, his eyes full of shock and horror.
That demon, which had tortured him for so long and was powerful enough to be invincible, had been easily handled by Homelander?
Carol also walked over at this time.
She couldn't see the soul in the Astral Projection state, nor could she see the process of the Spirit of Vengeance being devoured.
From her perspective, she only saw Homelander slap the skeleton monster, the fire on the monster went out, and then it turned into an old black man lying on the ground.
When she saw the face of the man on the ground clearly, her heart gave a violent jolt.
"Fury?!"
Carol stepped forward quickly, staring at the man in disbelief.
"What on Earth is going on? This monster that slaughters Skrulls... is actually Nick Fury?!"
Homelander ignored Carol's question.
With a backhand wave, he slapped Fury's soul back into his body.
Fury gasped, his eyes opening immediately.
Homelander pointed to the buildings in the distance.
"My Base is nearby," Homelander said casually, "Why don't you come over for a drink and we can talk slowly."
After speaking, he turned and strode toward the direction of the V.G.D. Headquarters Base.
