"Don't get tangled up with them! Victor!"
Batman piloted the fighter jet, using high-explosive shells to blast open the outer energy barrier.
"Charge in! Go find the mother box!" Bruce's voice came through the headset; he was piloting the jet in the air, drawing the Parademons' fire.
"Scanning... Found it! It's underground!"
Cyborg blasted open the elevator shaft doors with a single shot.
"Barry! Take me down!"
A flash of red light.
The Flash appeared beside Cyborg and grabbed his shoulder.
"Hold on tight, Decepticon!"
Whoosh!
The two turned into a streak of light, plunging vertically down the elevator shaft.
Bang—Boom!!
Cyborg blasted open the ceiling of the underground laboratory.
It was heavily guarded, with hundreds of elite soldiers protecting a massive, glowing device.
Three mother boxes hovered in the center of the device, emitting a humming resonance.
"That's it!" Cyborg shouted.
"Intruders—!"
"I'll hold them off!"
Barry ran in the cramped space, leaving countless afterimages, sending the guards flying and their weapons scattering across the floor.
"Victor! Hurry!"
Cyborg rushed to the console, extending a mechanical arm that shifted form to plug into the interface, data streams flashing frantically across his eyes.
"Infiltrating... I need time!"
"We don't have much time!"
The laboratory doors burst open, and more Parademons and guards flooded in.
Deathstroke jumped out of the ventilation duct to provide support, cleaving a Parademon with his sword.
He was already wounded, but he still swung his longsword wildly.
Cyborg gritted his teeth, staring at the three mother boxes.
They were his origin, and the source of destruction.
"Aaaaaah—!!"
Cyborg let out a roar of pain as his body began to glow with the light of resonance from the mother boxes.
"I am also... a mother box!!"
Hum—!
The light from the three mother boxes finally dimmed, and they slowly descended, falling to the floor.
"It worked!" Barry shouted in pleasant surprise.
"Got them!" Cyborg grabbed the mother boxes and placed them into a specially shielded box.
"Retreat! Quick!"
Before the three could even catch their breath...
Wooo—! Wooo—!!
The alarm lights throughout the underground lab turned a piercing red.
Countless passage doors opened, and dense swarms of Parademons and guards poured out like mad.
"Damn! We've kicked a hornet's nest!"
Deathstroke raised his assault rifle and fired wildly, but the enemies were simply too many.
"Push upward! Bruce will meet us!"
The three fought as they retreated, carving a path up the stairs.
When they burst out of the building's ground-floor lobby and onto the street...
A scene of despair unfolded.
In the sky, the familiar Bat-plane was trailing black smoke, spinning as it plummeted.
"Bruce!!" Barry shouted.
Crash—!
The plane crashed onto the street nearby. Bruce Wayne had ejected from the cockpit before the crash and used a grappling hook to swing over to the group.
Then, thousands of Parademons and the Superman Strike Team surged from all directions, a dark mass that completely blocked off the entire block.
"We're surrounded!" Barry swallowed hard as he watched the endless stream of enemies. The excessive consumption of the Speed Force made him feel ravenously hungry.
"Are we going to die here, Bruce?"
"It's not time for despair yet. We have reinforcements, Barry."
"Fight!"
Batman picked up an energy rifle dropped by a member of the Superman Guard.
"Today, we either leave with the mother box..."
"...or we die here."
"There is no third option."
"Ha! I like those odds!" Deathstroke laughed, charging into the enemy swarm with his sword.
Splash—!!
At that moment, a previously dry manhole cover suddenly exploded.
A massive pillar of water shot into the sky like a raging dragon, sweeping away dozens of strike team soldiers.
In this severely water-deprived wasteland World, this flow of water was nothing short of a miracle.
The water converged in the air, forming a giant sphere of water before suddenly exploding into countless sharp ice spikes that rained down on the enemy crowd.
"That's..." The Flash shouted in surprise.
At the center of the water, a woman with fiery red hair and wearing green scale armor came riding the waves.
Mera, the Queen of the Sea.
She tightly gripped the trident that originally belonged to Arthur, her eyes burning with the fire of revenge.
"Atlantis! Never surrender!!"
At the same time.
Whoosh, whoosh, whoosh—!
A dense sound of objects tearing through the air came from the heights of the buildings on both sides.
Hundreds of arrows tearing through the air fell like a meteor shower, accurately piercing the heads of the Parademons in the sky.
"For Hippolyta! For Diana!"
Accompanied by a synchronized battle cry.
Hundreds of female warriors dressed in ancient Greek-style armor, wielding shields, spears, and longswords, charged out from the shadows.
They were agile and coordinated, like countless sharp knives cutting into the enemy formation.
Amazon Warriors.
Although Themyscira had been defeated, they remained the strongest infantry legion in this World.
"Batman! Leave with the mother box!!"
Antiope shouted, carving a bloody path for everyone.
"These are your reinforcements?" Deathstroke grinned. "Seems you've got good connections, Bat."
"Stop talking! Break out!"
Batman took the lead, rushing toward the opening.
The heroes' fighting spirit was reignited.
Though still outnumbered, these warriors from different races and factions displayed incredible combat power at this moment, united by a single goal.
Risking their lives for the last hope of this broken World... the battle in Smallville continued.
In mid-air, two streams of red energy were at a standstill, pushing against each other.
Harley screamed excitedly, "Kill him! Kill him! Go Mr. Milk Candy! Blast him in the face!!"
Veins bulged on Superman's forehead as he stared deathly at Homelander, wishing he could melt the man before him into atoms.
But he found that Homelander... was actually still smiling.
Even in this high-intensity stare-down, he maintained that loathsome smile.
"Is this all you've got?"
While maintaining his Heat Vision output, Homelander didn't forget to mock him with his sharp tongue.
"You know, Clark. My mother is also named Martha."
Hearing the name "Martha," Superman's body visibly stiffened.
"But the difference is..."
"My mother would proudly call out my name and tell everyone, 'This is my son, he's a hero.'"
"And your mother? That poor Martha Kent?"
"If she could see you now..."
"...she would only feel disgusted."
"She would regret picking you up from that cornfield."
"She would feel that raising a dog would have been better than raising an alien mutt like you!!"
"You bastard—!! Die!!!"
Superman snapped.
His deepest internal fears, the nightmares he dared not face in the middle of the night...
...were now being ripped open by Homelander, salted, and then stomped on ruthlessly.
The energy within him surged violently, and his Heat Vision doubled in intensity!
The balance was instantly shattered, and the devastating heat closed in on Homelander's face.
