As we walked back we're the other mercenaries. Holding the Captain's head by the hair. Flames covered the ground a black-haired woman. Her face curls into disgust. "Xenonebula." She snarls.
"Who I was going to spare them too to send a message to the House of Evolution." Charles said, mock complaining. As he threw the Captain's head at her feet. She kicked it back. Charles caught it.
"Xenonebula what the hell are you doing here?" She was getting madder.
"Who?" Charles questioned. She paused for a second before snarling like a dragon.
"Did you eat Lux?" She asked. What in the world?
"Lux? What are you talking about?" Charles questioned her.
"Salamander. Burn." She said as a massive flaming dragon formed behind her. It let out a roar. I started to flap as Charles took the attack. A massive mist explosion covered the forest.
"Quetzalcoatl. Flap." She yelled. As a massive gust of wind blew all of the mist. Charles was covered in frost. As well a few major burns. She is madder than before.
"Well how about a name?" Charles asked.
"Xenonebula. You really lost your memory? I am Calamtias. I will be the one to defeat you." Calamtias said her voice was ice cold.
"Starlight: Greater Heal." Charles said as the ice flaked off the burn marks closed.
"Salamander. Burn!" Calamitas spoke as the fire around her rose and formed into that blazing dragon.
"Devil Sin: Cocytus." Charles raised his hand as a frost like mist started to circle at him. Both the frenzied fire and furious frost raced at each other. They collided and a massive mist explosion happened again. Then a bright light illuminated the mist. As it slowly cleared showing Charles was missing an arm and covered in burns. Charles!
"Looks like that trick is useless now. To think you have fallen so far to accept the help of an artificial Demon." Calamitas shakes her head.
"Starlight: Hyper Heal." Charles healed almost instantly. As he stands up with a smile.
"I forgot that Starlight can grow stronger when the user is on death's door." Calamitias said. As she steps forward. Calmly with a faint smile.
"Starlight: Twister." Charles said as a twister of wind formed in his palm.
"Quetzalcoatl. Block." Calamitias as the Twister disappeared.
"How?" Charles asked.
"Let me take over." Charlotte's voice rang in my head like church bells.
"Phantom Cloak." Charles said as he disappeared. Calamitias shook her head.
"Salamander. Blast." Calamitias said. As once again that hulking flaming dragon. As it blasted flames down, sending a tidal wave of flames. It washed over the tree turning them into ashes. Charles reappeared covered in third degree burns. His jackal was completely burned. Charles sclera turned pitch black. Having a six point star the Stella Deus. His teeth sharpened into fangs. His fingers blackened and turned into fangs.
"Looks like I have to fight seriously." Charles said with a bloodthirsty smile on his face. Calamitias started to laugh.
"You have fallen so far Xenonebula. That you think I take this fight seriously is a good one." Calamitias said, wiping away one of her tears.
"Noble Phantasm." Charles said as two wolves formed next to him they started to charge.
"Salamander. Burn." Calamitias said. Once more the Salamander rose from the flames and let out a roar. As the hulking flame monster bellows flames that rush at Charles. Charles tries to roll out of the way. But was still caught in the fire.
"Starlight: Shield!" Charles roared. As the flames died down as the Salamander disappeared once again. Charles was standing there with a very cracked layer between him and Calamitias.
"Let me take over." Charlotte's voice rang out in our heads. Charles winced. As a few scales started to pierce skin on his fingers.
"Starlight: Claws." Another voice rang out in our head. Form somewhere.
"Starlight: Claws." Charles said. As his claws glowed white with Starlight. He starts to charge at Calamitias. Her face turns red.
"Xenonebula!" Calamitias screamed.
"Salamander. Burn!" Calamitias yelled as the flames exploded upwards as the Salamander let out a roar of flames it felt like my skin was on fire. Like we were in a sudden drought.
"Starlight: Shield." Charles said quickly as a dome of Starlight formed. As the Salamander opened its mouth a flame brighter than the sun. The sudden brightness left me blinded. As I blink still nothing but white. My body started to burn. I blinked again. Still nothing. I felt my body fall as my wings were completely burned through. Once again I blinked. I started to fall to the ground. As once again I blinked. The first color I saw was blue and it was bright.
"I should thank you for allowing me to take over my partner." Charlotte's voice rang in my ears. It was laced over Charles' voice. As I flipped over my body started to regenerate. Charles was standing there with Charlotte's monstrous form over his shoulder. Skin glowed a bright white. Covered in black flame marking. Claws like daggers and a massive tail and two angel wings. Her one golden eye glowed with a light beyond this world. Two massive legs that looked like a raptor. Her face looked like a metal mask of a dragon.
"What are you?" Calamitias asked.
"I am Charlotte, Charles' partner." Charlotte answered. As Charlotte charged at Calamitias.
"Quetzalcoatl. Cut." Calamitias said as a second later Charlotte was in pieces on the ground as they faded and a new one appeared.
"Summon Vassal: Horus." Charlotte said as a spirit formed on Charles' shoulder. As Horus came into being. His six wings flapped at different times. Horus let out a loud scream. Charging at Calamitias.
"Summon: Salamander." Calamitias said almost bored. As that massive hulking being made of pure flames erupted from the ground. It dwarfed Horus by at least ten times. It bites down around Horus' neck. Salamander slammed Horus into the ground as it fades.
"Salamander dismissed." Calamitias said. As Salamander flicked out existence like a flame being put out.
"Surpeme Starlight: Death Storm." Charlotte roared as white tornadoes were kicked up everywhere. The wind was raging but Calamitias was standing there unimpressed. The scales on Charles' body started to climb higher. Almost around his elbows now. Horns have formed above his ears.
"Quetzalcoatl. Stillness." Calamitias said as she snapped her fingers. As if a switch was flipped the howling wind stopped. Vanished into thin air.
"How!" Charlotte roared, layered with Charles' voice. As wings popped out of Charles' back.
"Do you have anything else?" Calamitias said her voice sounded bored.
"Mythic Beast Transformation." Charles' voice ran out in the air. As he was covered in an orb of pure Starlight glowing an angelic white. It glowed brighter. Almost like a second sun. Then it started to expand. Cracks started to form on it. The cracks spread. Then an explosion bathed the battlefield in light. As I blinked them a massive white dragon with the Stella Deus Charles dragon form. Calamitias shook her head.
"You're wasting so much Starlight." Calamitias said. "It is clear you're not Xenonebula so sorry." She turned to start walking away. Charles Dragon form let out a frenzied roar.
"Aaaaaarrrrggggghhhhh!" Charles Dragon form roared. As a gale of Starlight was released. Kicking up the ashes that covered the battlefield.
"Fine." Calamitias said.
"Spirit Bullet." Calamitias said as she pointed one finger and the next moment there was a hole in Charles chest as his Dragon form vanished. A part of his heart was showing it was black with purple veins. As his flesh and bones started to regenerate. She starts to walk towards him.
"What are you doing?" I questioned getting up in her face.
"I'm going to take him somewhere safe." She answered. Safe she attacked him. As well, almost killing him. She talks about safety as she picks him up bridal style. I still did not believe her. But a coldness washed over me as I started to transform into my vampire form.
"Get away from him." I said using my real voice felt odd. She sighed as she disappeared and then I blacked out. I saw the ground getting closer.
