As the snow settled. The Starbreaker was almost completely undamaged. "Damn it, what will it take to take this thing down!" Charles yelled.
"Exterminate. Exterminate. Exterminate." Many robotic voices came from the distant.
"Great more of them." Gabriel said. He was slightly painting. The ground was littered with debris and scrap metal.
"Yeah. What great luck." Charles said dripping with sarcasm.
"Hyper Chaos Slash." Gabriel said as a superfast slash that cut through most of them. Gabriel marking grew and glowed. His eyes were glazed and filled with maliciousness that even demons would fear. It was as if I was looking at Asura.
"Starlight: Arrow." Charles said as an arrow of Starlight formed above his head. It fired and destroyed the rest of the swarm of Drones. The Starbreaker was immediately behind him as its sword slammed down like a hammer. Charles put both his hands up to block. The air went silent. As both of Charles' arms were cut off. They fell to the ground with a wet thud. A deep cut on the chest going vertical down. As Charles fell on his face. Tears spilled out of my face.
"Charles!" Gabriel yelled. His marking wrapping his body in the inky black tattoos. His voice almost sounded like Asura.
"Charles…" I said tears were still falling. Gabriel let out a howl of animalistic fury.
"Judgement Slash!" Gabriel roared as countless slashes cut through the air. But then the world shattered around the Starbreaker. It was now cut into small pieces. The world was in silence for a few seconds.
"Exterminate. Exterminate. Exterminate. Exterminate. Exterminate." A bunch of robotic voices said. Gabriel marking glowed even brighter.
"Bastard." Gabriel said his eyes looked just like Asura. Shadow stood up tall.
"That was family. Now it's personal." Shadow said his eyes were yellow. His pupils were slit. Just like Charles when he was not using Stella Deus.
"Judgement Slash." Gabriel said. White lines covered the air then the area seemed to shatter. Showing the void. As they were all dismantled .
"Starlight: Demon Rain." Shadow said as a ball of silvery flame. Went high up in the air. As they came raining down. Completely destroying whatever scraps were left. As we heard even more robotic marching.
"Great more of them." Gabriel said as he was taking a deep breath. Sweat was rolling down his face. The marking seemed to glow again. There were so many of them.
"Starlight: Demon Rain." Shadow said. As another ball of silvery flames was formed. As many small flames fell destroying about half of them.
"Hyper Chaos Slash." Gabriel said. Crescent of compact Chaos Energy cut through their numbers like a hot knife through butter.
"How many drones does this guy have?" Shadow asked. Looking in dread.
"Triple Chaos Slash." Gabriel said. Three crescents shot at even more of them. Cutting through even more numbers. The rest of them were turned into scraps. Gabriel was now huffing. His marking glowing even brighter like magma. As we heard stomping. As we saw three Bastions with their tower shields were stomping over the destroyed scarps.
"Even more?" Shadow questioned. His eyes held nothing but dread.
"Hyper Chaos Slash." Gabriel screamed as the crescent blade cut through one of the Bastions. Behind those Bastions were even more countless drones. Now seriously, how many drones does this person have? Does he have factories to build the damn things? As the other two still marched forward. Followed by the army of drones.
"Starlight: Demon Arrow!" Shadow yelled. Silvery flames took the form of an arrow. Then launched at one of the Bastions. Destroying it the last one seemed strange. But that weird humming was back.
"Judgement Slash." Gabriel called as the bastion was surrounded by white lines as the void was shown. It walked out. It seemed to have a barrier around it. But a barrier made of energy was slowly falling apart. Gabriel was breathing heavily and unevenly.
"Starlight: Demon Sword." Shadow said as a sword made of his silvery flames. Thump! Where did that sound come from?
"Thanks." Asura said as suddenly Gabriel was smiling with an insane gleam in his eyes.
"What?" Shadow and I asked in pure shock.
"That fool used all his energy and I was slowly taking over. He was consumed by grief and rage so much he did not notice when I took over." Asura said with an insane crackle.
"Who are you?" Shadow asked, holding his sword up pointing at Asura.
"Judgement Slash." Asura said as the whole drone army was destroyed. Even the Bastion was in pieces. His smile showed nothing but madness.
"Starlight: Demon Slash." Shadow said as a slash made of the silvery blue flames. Trying to scorch Asura. But Asura just walked through the flames.
"I could ask you? But I know you Shadow." Asura said as dodged the slash. As then Asura kneed Shadow in the gut.
"Starlight: Demon-" Shadow started before he could finish the sentence. Asura had hold of his face through him roughly across the battlefield. Thump! That noise again where? Why?
"Foolishly I wished Charles was here. He was fun to fight but since you're a relative I guess you will do it." Asura said with a bloodthirsty grin. A shiver sent down my spine.
"Starlight: Demon Prison." Shadow said as the silvery blue flames wrapped around Asura. He merely walked out of them with a smile. As he swung his sword as a cut appeared on his chest the wound was deep.
"Really you're pitiful you have Charles as a relative yet you're this weak?" Asura complained. Pointing at Charles' dead body.
"Charles is strong, yes. But you would be no match for him." Shadow said as Asura broke out in laughter. Thump! For the third time where is it coming from? Asura's eyes flicked to Charles for a second and a smile covered his face.
"I can't decide which is the most annoying pest to you or those tin cans." Asura said as I heard more robotic marching it was countless drones. He let out a snarl. Seeing seven Bastions.
"What the hell." Shadow said he was trembling. His eyes were wide.
"Judgement Slash." Asura said white lines covered the area. Then the void swallowed them whole. All of them were destroyed.
"You're toying with me!" Shadow yelled, his face flushed with rage.
"Of course you're a pest like a fly buzzing around your no real threat. Just like the tin cans over there." Asura said with a mocking tone. As Shadow charged at Asura. Shadow slice at Asura he leaned back and dodged. Then kneed him in the chest. Shadow saliva and flu left his mouth. Shadow was face down on the ground.
"I shall not fall." Shadow said slowly getting up from the ground. Asura laughs not a small giggle but a belly laugh, one so real. It's a trick that someone told the funniest joke in the world.
"That's a good one. Only one with strength can decide their fate. Charles was going to be one of them, shame he is no longer here." Asura laughter. Thump! There it is again. Asura's smile only grew.
"Shut up! You are undeserving to say his great name!" Shadow roared. Thump!
"Undeservingly, I crossed the blade with him. He is one of the few interesting beings here. You're the one undeserving because you're weak." Asura said one again appearing in front of him. Shadow jumped back as Asura slashed the air it still cut Shadow again now it made an X shape on his chest.
"Starlight: Heal." Shadow wounds closed. His eyes were filled with righteous fury.
"Finally you do have some of his abilities, maybe you won't be as useless as I thought." Asura said his eyes screamed bloody murder.
"Starlight: Demon Sword." Shadow said as with his silvery blue flame sword he charged at Asura. Thump! This time it was louder. Asura's smile grew.
"Finally!" Asura screamed his smile could have split his face.
